CHAPTER 24: EATING SHOWS

The eating contest began for the females, all of the 19th females ate cooked meat, excluding Kiara who solely ate fruit which included only strawberries, which she did not mind, she loved strawberries and it is also good for your skin.

Rosa was eating a large amount of meat and she did not get tired of it, but the other females were losing after 20 minutes of eating. Kiara would have eaten more but she was already full from eating breakfast, so she was the first one to give up. Some of the audience felt that she was too weak unlike Rosa who could eat. But that did not matter to the three males.

Dylan was allowed to be near her when she gave up, he picked her and sat down with her being in his lap.

"Are you full?"

"Yep, this morning breakfast was filling"

She started with a big smile.

They waited for the other to finish which did not take long as after 45 minutes only Rosa was eating, but she also couldn't do it anymore so the eating contest was finished.

The judges started to vote for the beauty, Kiara could have won but she lost for the fact that she couldn't eat more, therefore Rosa took her place.

Soon the results were announced.

"Today's beauty contest is... Rosa!"

The audience clapped, cheered and whistled. Rosa was crowned the beauty, she walked with confidence and superiority with a hint of a smile playing at the corner of her lips more like a smirk. It was clear that the victory belonged to her, her performance did not lack anything. She was

the first to be sited and get to choose which males she wanted. She was eyeing Xavier but she had to follow the rule that she could only accept him if he came to her with an exquisite gift. To her disappointment he didn't. This angered her more, she was beautiful wasn't she. Everyone wanted her. She calmed herself down and forced a smile on the other males.

Rosa accepted 8 male with stripes between 7 to 6, the more the merrier. Half of the audience went to Rosa, so only a small number of males remained for the others.

Kiara looked at the males lining up to Rosa she was amazed, she only read in the book, but it was her first time seeing. Dylan looked at her, and was amused by her expression. Her mouth was open, a fly could fly inside her mouth and she wouldn't even notice. He closed her mouth and told her to pay attention as it was going to be her turn soon, but not anytime soon. She was the last one and only a few males, she expected that no one would want her. Which exactly happened, no one turned up when it was her time.

She didn't feel humiliated, honestly she felt glad. However to her surprise Xavier walked towards hers with a soft smile gracing his lips, he had a mini box in his hand. He knelt down and took her hands on his and placed the box in her diamond.

"Would you like to be my mate?"

He said with a deep and graceful voice. The people around them were shocked. They knew who Xavier was and was famous for not accepting Rosa. Including the shocked expression of Rosa who was fuming.

Kiara looked surprised, but also happy, a small smile appeared on her lips. She nodded, which was enough for Xavier.

Suddenly, with a mischievous grin, Xavier sweeps Kiara off her feet and lifts her effortlessly into the air. Her delighted squeal mingles with the sound of joyous giggles as he spins her around, the world becoming a blur of colours and laughter. The sheer happiness in their expressions captures the pure essence of their connection. As he sets her down gently, her eyes sparkle with affection, and he can't help but feel a sense of exhilaration and contentment, knowing that this simple, heartfelt gesture has created a memory they'll treasure forever.

The people around might actually have a heart attack Xavier was known for his cruelty he never graced his smile to anyone. Apart from the female, well his female.

To say that Dylan and Owen were not affected by the scene was wrong. Despite their efforts to appear nonchalant, they clenched their fists and the furrowed brows revealed the jealousy simmering beneath the surface. After All they were beast and beast were possessive over their mates. But they deeply knew that Kiara will always love them with all her heart after all their marks were engraved in her chest.

Meanwhile Rose demeanour wavers. Her cheeks flush with a mixture of embarrassment and anger, The more she watches, the more her jealousy festers, fueling a growing sense of resentment. Her emotions bubble over, and she can feel the heat rising within her. She clenches her fists, her nails digging into her palms as she battles a surge of emotions—jealousy, disappointment, and even a sense of betrayal. < I was the first one who saw, I wanted him. Why!
