The stairs are a great place to go. It's always nice and sunny, but that perfect place where it doesn't annoy you, too much. I was still curious as to what was wrong with Kyle and his teacher. He still hadn't talked the whole way. We sat down and he fumbled slowly around his bag for his lunch. I found this a perfect, silent opportunity to ask him. "What did miss keep you behind for?" I looked up at him, his expression showed it all.

"She just uh...wanted to look at my...notes. Yeah." He replied, smiling slightly. He's hiding something. I know it.

"Right" I reply to his smile. I then open my bag to get my lunch out. Lovely, a salad wrap, an apple, some grapes and some strawberries, which I prepared last night. I peer over at Kyle retrieving his lunch box and putting it onto his lap. He looks up at me and spots me staring at his movements.

"What?"

"Nothing" And with that a silence falls as we eat the rest of our lunch. Nothing was awkward. Nothing was as bad as I thought.

I feel Eva's eyes burning into me as she talks to Fifi and Fiona. I turn my head over my shoulder to see her gossiping to them, her eyes glaring at me. Fifi notices me looking and returns to her work, whilst Fiona sits back up straight. Eva fold her arms and looks back over at Fifi. I return to my work. What is it they're talking about? Its okay Johnnie, it can't be that important, right?

"Hey, Johnnie" Eva calls. I turn to see her smugly smiling at me. "So, how about you and Kyle, huh?" a few people around the class turn in their seats.

"What about me and Kyle?" I ask, swallowing slightly. She could lie and the whole class would believe her.

"Oh, you know, you've both been hanging out a lot. We all know you...like him." and with that, the whole class is looking over.

"He's my friend, is there nothing you can get from that?"

"Oh, there's a lot I can get from that." I pick at my book as I patiently wait for the teacher to come back to tell us we can go. "Don't worry, I'm sure he likes you too. Y'know, he wouldn't have accepted you as a friend, right?"

"Well, actually, you accepted me as a friend, so does that mean you liked me more than that?" She backs down a little and looks at me in disgust. "Didn't think so." I turn back in my seat, shut my book and place it in my bag as the teacher walks back in.

"Pack up, pack up. Time to pack up" Sir sings as he enters the room.

How could Eva be so bitchy? It's almost as if she blames me for her own actions. I mean, how could me and Kyle 'like like' each other when we only met today? We make our way out of the classroom when I spot Kyle coming out of his last lesson down the hallway. I turn to see Eva, Fifi and Fiona going the other way and out of the door before quickening my pace to catch up with Kyle. "Hey"

"Oh, hey" Kyle hesitates before turning to me. "So, what are you up to this weekend?" He asks, flicking his hair to the side. I think to myself for a moment. Does he really like me? Is Eva right? He does like me, oh God. Stop, Johnnie, why does he want to know what I'm doing? Just ask him.

"What's it to you?" I ask jokingly.

"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go into town or something?" He replies, smiling down at me. He's a couple of inches taller than me, I kinda like that. Shush, Johnnie.

"I uh... I don't know." I begin. As soon as the words fall out of my mouth I can see a frown appear on Kyle's face. "I mean, I'd have to ask Bryan, my friend, first. I'd have to let you know somehow. Do you have anything like facebook or twitter...?" I ask, his smile reappearing.
