EDITED
-Oren-
"News, Alpha?" Knox addresses me.
I sigh as I fall into the leather recliner, slumping lazily. I'd just come from a meeting with the other leaders, negotiating concerns of our clans. It was tiring and boring and long, but at least now it was over. I glance around my office at the few friends of mine. I grew up with them, and they were supporting me in my time of need.
"Yes." I uncuff my sleeves, pushing them past my elbows. A room full of that much testosterone and authority made me itch because I was the youngest, and in their eyes; the weakest. "In a weeks time we will visit Kostas territory and make an official ceremony of the treaty."
"That's great then," Brock relaxes in his chair.
I roll my eyes at him. My father passed briefly, thus causing me to take over his position and debts. My father had an itch against Aris Kostas father, but since they've both passed we'd agreed to settle it. The conflict was idiotic anyways, but it made less paperwork on my desk and more smiles among the people I led.
"Kostas?" Knox mumbles. "Isn't that the pack with the whore for a Luna?"
My tongue swells with distaste at the disrespect of a leader, but I let it be.
"How embarrassing, poor Alpha Aris. I bet he keeps her locked up to avoid cheating on him." Boone and Knox share a laugh.
"No, you guys have it all wrong." Brock cuts them off. "Legend goes she's got seven mates, each an Alpha."
"Wrong," Boone snorts. "She's just power hungry."
Brock shakes his head. I'm exhausted as I rest back in the chair, but something about the topic pikes my interest. "They're real mates, my parents say it's good luck."
"What?" Boone laughs. "Having seven dicks smack you at once? If you're going to have any empathy for her, don't feel sorry."
Brock's nose scrunches, as well as mine. Trust Boone to be inappropriate at all times. "My mom says everyone has more than just one mate, but after we find one we usually stop looking. She's lucky because if one dies, at least she has another."
"Still sounds greedy." Knox comments.
"Not like it's never happened before," Brock says. "In Europe one Alpha has two Luna's."
"Myth." Boone says immediately
"Or lucky," Knox smirks.
Brock sighs and leans back in his chair like he's given up. "Doesn't matter anyways, some type of evil is following after her, killing her mates one by one."
"Ten dollars she's the killer," Boone says.
Knox pushes his shoulder. "What do you mean? How many are dead?"
"Two of seven."
They glance to me, hearing my powerful voice. The stunned expressions from not receiving a command when I speaks leaves a smirk on my face. I knew Aris's mate, and I knew of her 'other mates' that got brought up in the meetings. But it felt too rude to directly ask Aris, and too foolish to believe in having seven mates. It was already a miracle enough in Europe.
"Well I guess we'll find out," Boone swallows. "When we visit their pack, if the Luna makes a move on you."
