Chapter 20: Who Do You Choose?

"Don't trust anyone other than your own family and friends."

They go in the portal after Caleb pushes Mae. The room that all of them entered is very dark. There are no lights so they split up but they lose each other in the process.

Noah shouts "YOU GUYS OKAY?"

Ali shouts back "YEA I AM BUT I THINK IM LOST!"

Miri shouts "WERE PROBABLY ALL LOST!"

The lights go back and they see 2 people standing.

Noah asks "Excuse me?"

Lily says "Huh? WAIT NOAH"

Sir Lawson says "What is the commotion happening?"

Ali says "Why is Lily and Sir Lawson here?"

Sir Lawson says "YOU GUYS ARE HERE AFTER YOU GUYS WENT MISSING??"

Miri says "We went missing?"

Before Sir Lawson gets to speak why they are missing, The voice comes back saying "I have chosen Lily and Sir Lawson to go with your adventure but the problem is, Only one of them can be with you guys to adventure. There will be challenges that will help you with who you should choose to go with your adventure. The one who doesn't get picked, Will DIE. Goodluck choosing adventurers!"

Caleb says "Why don't we just choose right now?"

Nate replies "I think we cant since there are challenges to help us with choosing. Plus i see the first challenge right near us."

All of them go to the first challenge and they see 2 cups of water and some random substance in it. One cup looks gray and the other cup is oil and water which makes them get separated. The challenge is they need to use 2 techniques to separate the two cups of water with a random substance.

Sir Lawson says "This is a grade 6 lesson guys."

Lily whispers to Noah "The grey water, We need a magnet and its right THERE."

Miri says "What should we do with the grey water??"

Noah responds "WE NEED TO USE THE MAGNET TO SEPARATE IT!"

They try the technique and it works but the oil and water isnt separated yet.

Sir Lawson says "Its so easy. Try the other one."

Lily whispers to Ali "Decantation technique, QUICK!"

Ali takes the cup and pours out the oil.

Sir Lawson says "FINALLY! GOOD JOB! What were you guys whispering about? Is it something bad?"

Lily replies "No! Its just I'm really shy. Plus ive met them before!"

Sir Lawson responds "Really??" *Lily nods*

They go to the next challenge near them and the challenge is finding a missing piece from the toy building so they search the place to find the missing piece.

Noah says "WE NEED TO SPLIT UP TO FIND IT!"

As they split up, Sir Lawson sees the missing piece and hides it on his pocket but Nate discovers the sighting but doesnt say it to the friend group. They take a long time to find it so they move on to the next challenge. The challenge is a sword fight and first to 3 wins.

Lily says "May the best fighter win."

Sir Lawson ignores the hand shake that Lily wants so Lily gets very upset and Lily wins easily with 3-0.

Sir Lawson shouts "THATS CLEARLY NOT FAIR! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LEARNING ALL OF THIS!!"

Lily replies "Im literally not real plus i WON. Now stop being a sore loser and FIND THE MISSING PIECE!"

Nate says "SIR LAWSON HID THE MISSING PIECE ON HIS POCKET!! I SAW IT!"

Sir Lawson says "I DID NOT! MAYBE YOU DID."

They check Sir Lawson's pocket to actually find the missing piece.

Noah says "I HAVE MADE MY DECISION AND I WILL PICK LILY FOR ADVENTURING WITH ME AND I WILL MAKE SIR LAWSON DIE FOR ANNOYING US SO MUCH!!"

Sir Lawson says "NOT FAIR! IVE HELPED YOU! YOU GUYS ARE BEING CHILDREN."

Lily says "Says the one who hid the missing piece from us."

Sir Lawson fades and dies and the portal opens with the new member but little did they know, They will never trust each other in the next dimension they enter.
