Prologue
I ran as fast as I could. I tried to use our packs mind linking that daddy has been trying to teach me the past three weeks but I haven't gotten the hang of it yet to where I could use it all the time. I kept screaming to my wolf to try harder so I could have daddy help me. My human form was panicking and my wolf could tell if she didn't get through to my father then we were both goners. She tried one final time and finally broke through to daddy.
"Whats wrong sweet heart?" Matt, my dad asked.
"A pack of wolfs are chasing me and there not from our pack! I'm scared help me daddy I don't know how much longer I can run before Amber gives out." I said with a whimper behind it.
"Where are you sweet heart? You need to tell me which way you went." Matt had spoken with worry in his voice.
"To the North side I'm just about to break through the trees...I can see the pack house! Hurry daddy!" I said.
"I see you sweet heart. I'm coming." Matt said with so much anger in his voice.
" Daddy...Amber's giving out she's hurting. She can't run anymore." I said.
"Just keep her going for a little bit longer I'm almost there sweet heart just keep running." Matt said. Those were the last words I heard from father. I kept running till I got to the pack house long after I passed dad. I hadn't realized what happened until I landed on my ass wondering what the hell stopped me like a brick wall. I looked up pissed off wondering who stopped me from seeing my brother Kane. When I realized it was Kane he already had his hood off and holding it out for me. I changed from my wolf to my human form and put on the hood and Kane held me close while I cried in his arms.
