It had been almost two weeks since [Y/N] had last seen Yingxing. He must've been busy, she supposed. It was busy on her end too, as more and more customers had come to her during the past few days. However, the never ending list of commissions was the least of her worries at the moment.
SLAM!
"YOU BITCH!" The woman standing in front of her screeched, her fair features marred by the sneer plastered over her face.
"小姐, this was the price we agreed on-" [Y/N] began but the angry woman cut her off.
"YOU FILTHY LIAR! SOMEONE ARREST THIS SWINDLER!"
The [h/c]-ette sighed. Unruly customers were rare, but even the ones she had dealt with in the past were no where close to this woman, Miss Qin, who stood in front of her. The situation was starting to get out of hand, as more and more people began to take notice of the altercation.
"小姐 I-"
Before [Y/N] could finish her sentence, Qin reared back her hand and harshly slapped her across the face. The woman stumbled back in surprise, reaching up to touch her cheek, which had begun to bruise. "SHUT UP! SHUT UP!"
As Qin moved to hit her once more, a hand stopped her. Fuming, she turned towards the man who stopped her. "DON'T TOUCH ME!"
"You should pay her what you agreed to. You're making a huge commotion." He stated, gesturing at the staring people inside and outside the store.
Qin glared at him, but said nothing as the man gave her a cold stare. Huffing, she begrudgingly took out her purse and slammed the credits down onto the table. "Take your stupid money like the peasant you are." With that, she snatched up the silk pouch containing the bracelet and stormed off.
"Thank you so much 先生." [Y/N] bowed, grateful for the man's assistance. She quickly glanced up to take a look at her savior. A (very) handsome Vidyadhara. He had long, inky black hair that reached the middle of his back. Red eyeliner highlighted his emerald green eyes, and jade horns protruded from his head. What caught her attention specifically, was the earring dangling from his pointed left ear. It was the same one she made and gave to Yingxing.
The man shook his head, "No need to thank me. She was being loud and a public nuisance."
[Y/N] nodded, "Is there something you're looking for?"
"Do you sell accessories?"
"You have to be a little more specific," she chuckled, "Rings, necklaces, bracelets, hairpins, pendants, charms, which one?"
He frowned, his eyes sweeping over the shelves full of said items. "Which one is the most popular then?"
"Well, rings are the most popular here. I mostly make engagement and wedding rings actually. Necklaces and hairpins are also really popular." [Y/N] began, "If I may ask, who is this gift intended for?"
"A good friend of mine." The horned man said.
The woman pondered his statement for a couple seconds. "Then perhaps a charm would do? Those are popular for small gifts and such."
"Hmm... alright we'll do that."
[Y/N] bobbed her head, taking out her small notebook and began writing. "Design? Material? Do you need this done by a specific time?"
He went on to describe the charm, a dragon's head made out of two pieces of jade, one being the lower jaw whilst the other being the face, and the two pieces could be joined together. After finishing the last few details of the request, [Y/N] set her pencil down. "Sounds good! I'm running low on jade though, but I can go collect the ore tomorrow if you need this done by the end of the week."
