If you run into this woman she will ask you if you think she is pretty. If you say yes, She will lower her mask to reveal her gaping mouth and ask again. If you say yes again then she will use her long pair of scissors and cut your mouth like hers. If you say no to either of the times she asks, she will kill you instantly. The only way to avoid your death is to tell her she looked average and leave quickly.
Origins:
Kuchisake-Onna was a beautiful woman, every day she stood outside and asked the passerby's if she was pretty. They always said yes and this lifted her mood incredibly. One day she was to visit her husband, a Samurai, and found him cheating on her with another woman. Her husband had used his sword to slit her mouth like so, so she would never tell a single soul.
