[NOTE: This chapter was unfinished, but since it was sitting in my drafts for literally more than a year, I figured I might as well let people see what I was trying to cook.
I swear I'm working on rewriting again, and this time I'll try and make it much more engaging and interesting. This is officially the end of my old republished works, but I'll be keeping them up so others can read and enjoy them.
Y'all, I'm so sorry. I don't do this on purpose. I swear I intend to finish this story. I have such big plans for it you have no idea.]

Flawless. Everything in the Arcadia Movement was flawless. It was the only way Sylvia could think to describe the place as she did her best to balance keeping up with Seria's quick pace and marveling at the architecture around her. The wood was polished so well her reflections had reflections, and there were ornate, detailed stone and wood carvings on the edge of every single corner, reminding her of a high-society castle from the Victorian era or something.
(She didn't know her eras that well, all she knew was that it was enormous and impressive.)
Brown, red, and gold seemed to be the biggest colors at play here, especially towards the center of the building, where every single hallway converged into a massive square frame of balcony, with a gap in the center leading all the way from the top to the bottom of the building. The railing there was especially thick, it seemed, to keep anyone from falling over, and it looked very sturdy, too.
"Those railings are to keep anyone from falling," Seria said without needing to be asked, and Sylvia wondered not for the first time if she had the power to read minds. "Our psychic duelists typically do not display their powers needlessly outside of the necessary rooms, but there are some who struggle to contain their power. Thus, the whole building is reinforced to better adapt to those individuals."
Sylvia stepped away from the railing and nodded absently, her eyes trained on the gorgeous floral details on the sides and corners of the rail, and how the paint job was flawless, and god, she couldn't imagine how long this must've taken to build, and--
"Please hurry along. We still have orientation," Seria interrupted her thoughts.
"Ah-- coming!" Sylvia hurried to her side and continued following after her. Seria moved like a businesswoman would, her strides fast and wide, as though she was in some kind of rush. For some reason, that stride felt... familiar to her. She didn't know why, but it filled her with a bit of unease.
Still, Sylvia followed. They had already gone through the gilded elevator, decorated in dancing lions and fish, so now they simply needed to turn left, then right, then left, and then right again, then right a second time? and then--
"Here we are."
Seria stopped in front of a single, dark wooden door, framed in gold much like the other doors littered in the hallway. Sylvia glanced up at the door.
Room 1578-C
As if fifteen floors wasn't crazy enough, there were more than 78 rooms in the 3rd corner of the skyscraper building? Sure enough, she glanced at the next room: 1579-C, and to the opposite side of the door, 1577-C. And there were four sectors: A, B, C, and D. One for each corner.
Just thinking about how massive this building was was giving her a bit of a migraine. And a bit of nausea. She'd better not think too hard about it.
Seria reached up on the door and pulled the knocker, letting it fall and knock on its own. The noise startled Sylvia, but it wasn't so loud she couldn't get used to it in time. It didn't take long for the door to open, and for her to come face-to-face with the residents of that room.
