Chapter 8: Restoration Countdown - Day 1: Dawn of Cataclysm

SCT ran down the street trying to ignore all the chaos around him.
"It finally came down to this. All I need to do know is find Phanto-"
"SCTTT!!", yelled Engineer. "I WAS LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE!! HACKER SAID WE HAD TO RETREAT! THERE ARE TOO MANY OF THEM!"
"They can go. I've been waiting for this moment for nearly 2 years."
"HUH? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! WAIT.. ARE YOU GOING TO TRY TO FIND AND KILL PHANTOM?!"
"I won't need to come to him. He'll come to me."
"Wait, so when you go inside his soul, it's basically impossible for him to try to fight back, right?"
"Yea."

Phantom appeared right in front of them.
"Hello SCT. Or Scout. However you like to be called.", said Phantom. "I see you got a friend there. You're Forrest, right?"
Engineer looked down at the ground and didn't respond.
"So you are. Remember when you almost died because you missed old tds? If it wasn't for your savior Crook Boss, you'd be dead by now."
SCT stared deep into Phantom's eyes. "Y'know, I've been waiting for this moment for nearly 2 years. I will finally be able to kill you."
"Are you really still mad about me killing that player back in 2019?", asked Phantom. "What was his name again? Oh, that's right! It was Ness!"
"You're going to be dead in 2 minutes", said SCT coldly.
"Whatever you say. If you're so confident, then just kill me already."
SCT and Engineer vanished. Phantom began to laugh.
"So you can go inside souls with multiple people as well? Just so you know, you really made a mistake when you killed Crook. You showed me the immense power of your bloodskill. I decided to train myself to counter you.. now I can attack you even from inside my soul. Also, since you're inside my soul, I now have the souls of each of the 10 towers! The Cataclysm has started!"
Phantom's body curled up into a floating ball of flesh. A red shield around him appeared.

**I can't protect my soul and my body at the same time, so I'll put all my power into killing these guys before I kill everyone else. I should be automatically teleported to the Agency Headquarters in a few seconds. I hope the others wipe out the Misfits by the time I'm finished with SCT and Engineer.**

Restoration Countdown Day 1: Dawn of Cataclysm

"WE HAVE TO GO!! COME ON!!", shouted Hacker. He was leading the remaining misfits to the exit."
"There's still hope. According to RawChopletts, the servers should stay down for at least a day. I can't find SCT anywhere. He's probably inside Phantom's soul. 24 hours is more than enough time to kill him, right?", said Hacker.

All of them heard a loud voice in their ears. "THIS MESSAGE WAS SENT TO EVERY PERSON HERE. I HAVE KILLED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE 10 TOWERS THAT REMAINED. I HAVE RECOVERED A MAJORITY OF MY SOUL AND AM NOW THE STRONGEST BEING ALIVE. I AM AT THE AGENCY HEADQUARTERS RIGHT NOW. WE WILL BEGIN TO SLAUGHTER EVERY PLAYER VERY SOON."

"It's over..", said Hacker. "SCT is dead.."
Pyromancer grabbed his hand and led him to the exit. Hacker took a last look at the place he built from the ground up before appearing in the Lobby. They ran into an elevator, and Hacker noticed there were still a ton of players left. Did whatever RawChopletts do actually work? Was it just taking a while?"

"why are the avatars not loading", said a player.
"lol roblox is down rn so we're all noobs"
"I hope they dont delay the halloween event"
"im gonna miss frost invasion"
"GUYS THEYRE BRINGING BACK LORD SINISTER FOR THE HALLOWEEN EVENT"

The elevator began to descend, taking them to Cyber City. They sat on the floor and began to think about what to do.
"Okay, so the current deaths are: Militant, Ranger, Demoman, Minigunner, Commander, Gladiator, SCT, Abnormal Boss, and Toxic Gunner. Missing people are: Sledger, Templar, Mystery, and Engineer. The people here are: Me, Hacker, Swarmer, Pyro, Onett, DJ, Brawler, Operator, Error, Nyazhi, and Quila. That's about right, eh?", said WikiaColors.
"Yeah. Good enough.", said Brawler. He sighed and looked up at the sky. "We shouldn't have spent 2 weeks down there. It's my fault. I dragged the others in."
"Yeah, it is your fault.", said Swarmer. "Because of you, nearly ten people on our team are dead, including probably the only person who can kill Phantom. I kept telling you guys that we had to leave, and you never listene-"
Operator shot Swarmer in the chest.
