At last, the friends we’ve lost have returned, and Meggy and Melony were in disbelief, as were Desti and Axol for living once again. As Melony got up off of Axol, she saw Meggy and Desti walking towards them. Her and Axol ran towards them, eager to speak after what just happened.
“Axol, it’s great to see you again!” Meggy said. She then saw the kiss marks all over his face, which gave her a smirk. “Sooo, did we disrupt something, lovebirds? It’s all over Axol’s face.”
Axol’s face turned entirely red from that comment. Even Melony couldn’t help but blush a little. “Uh, n-no, you didn’t interrupt a-anything” Axol said.
“Riiiiiight.”
Axol then looked away from Meggy to see Desti standing by her. “I see you’re back, too! Nice to see you, emo fish girl!”
“Hey, it’s good to be back. I’m surprised that you died as well, but I guess that doesn’t mean much now.” Desti was trying to act like she didn’t care too much, but they all knew it was just a facade. Deep down, she was really glad to see him after he helped them on Anime Island.
“Desti, no need to act tough. I know you missed him.” Meggy stated, nudging Desti with her elbow.
“C-can it, Spletzer!” Desti said, blushing a little from embarrassment. The other three couldn’t help but laugh at this.
“So, you must be Desti! Meggy’s told me quite a bit about you.”
“O-oh, like what?” Desti looked a little nervous since she was kind of a jerk to Meggy for a while.
“She told me how you two were great rivals, but you set that aside to save her and everyone else, and even sacrificed yourself to do so. I wasn’t around back then, but I still want to thank you for protecting my friends!”
“Oh, okay. I-it’s no sweat.” Desti was a little surprised that Meggy talked so highly of her. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, uh…”
“Oh, my name’s Melony!”
“Well, nice to meet you then, Melony!”
The four talked a little longer. Melony talked to Axol about her new volume of Two Piece, and Meggy caught Desti up with their adventures. Once they were done, Meggy got up and said this:
“So guys, are you ready to see the rest of your friends?”
“Y-yeah, I’m ready!” Axol said.
“Yeah, can’t wait to see how everyone has changed since I was gone.” Desti said.
“Hehe, I’m afraid nobody has changed much since you were gone. Saiko is a little more calm, but everyone else is basically the same.” Meggy replied.
“Eh, it’s fine. Maybe it’s better like that.”
The four walked together to the front doors of the castle, and as they all took a deep breath… they opened the gates…
