First and foremost, I must say thank you to all of you all that's been reading my little work of art on Wattpad yesterday. No B.S., I was sitting in church when I got several notifications that In Need of You was being read again. This not only invigorated me to keep writing but also pushed me to take that leap of faith. So here's my story so far.
Well, after writing In Need of You on Wattpad, I had several people encourage me to self-publish. One was my wonderful hubby, another was a student who I had the chance to see graduate from high school during the peak of Covid, and the last was a reader who sent me the sweetest message on Wattpad. So, I swallowed my fears and wrote my second novel. Back in November of 2021, I completed my debut novel titled Needs & Wants, which has the good bones of In Need of You structured within it. But my triumph didn't come without any struggles. I was missing my grandmother horribly so, and it caused some unwanted depression I didn't need in my life. Oh! The pen name is in honor of my grandmother. On top of that, while in the process of editing my novel, I caught Covid for the first time. That crap ain't what you want. I can't forget my niece had just been born around the time my husband and I thought we were about to adopt a sweet little girl. Nope. It fell through, unfortunately.
I found myself spiraling out of control until I got a message that someone started reading In Need of You again, and I picked myself off the ground.
Needless to say, I kept working on my story, and I made sure I was going to see it become successful. Well, God had plans for me because I ended up writing and self-publishing my second novel titled The Hearts We Play around November of 2022. And I can't forget to mention that my hubby and I caught Covid again at the beginning of this year. But I kept pushing. With all that said, I would be remised if I didn't share my website and works with y'all. So without further ado, here's my website.
