"I think you've played around enough, Ava," Jonah hissed over the phone. "All you've done is prance your narrow ass around my son without any fucking results."

She glared at Kevin with a smirk, then shrugged her shoulders. "Well, if you let me do what I wanted, then you wouldn't be so angry with me now, wouldn't you?"

Ava pulled the phone away from her ear, letting Jonah's voice trail off in the distance. She glanced at Kevin once more. His eyes trapped her. Jonah's voice became incoherent groans and huffs as she placed the device on the table she sat next to. Maybe Kevin was right. Jonah never told her why he wanted to rid of Sabrina so badly. All she knew was that the family's name and linage were at stake. Maybe it was a good cause to fight for, but for fuck's sake, she at least could have gotten a rundown on his motives. Knowing Jonah, though, there was something Sabrina had that he wanted. Regardless of the lack of reasoning, Ava knew that that woman was in graver danger than his son led her to believe.

Jasmine Hadar. She was his last victim. Beautiful, young, and married with a sexy ass husband and two precious children, Jonah wanted her from the moment he laid eyes on her at the gala for the pompous and stupid rich elites in Kentfield. It was a night to remember, as much she tried to wipe it clean from her memory. She recalled how he left his date to sit at the table by herself like she was a child being punished for eating during prayer. If Lori only knew how many women he left in his wake, she would have left him sooner.

Jonah was bold enough to walk up to this woman and talk to her in front of her husband, the infamous Zander Hadar. The man was a real threat to his company, and he knew that. But the only way Jonah was going to get him to bend was to fuck with what he held closest to him. Jasmine. Besides of wanting to bathe in making Zander writhe in anger and shame, he wanted something more. He wanted Jasmine's lustrous chocolate beauty; he wanted to own it. Jonah wanted to purge Zander of the very breath he took. And that's what he did. When the lunatic signed a check for a million dollars to fuck his wife and had it announced to the other guests in the ballroom as if his wife were for sale, time paused.

The gasps and stiffening feet silenced the ballroom. The patrons didn't know if they were to be offended by Jonah's racist antics or frightened at how Zander left him black, blue, and red in the middle of the dance floor. If only that stopped him, she thought. Jonah never stopped fucking around with the guy. Every move she made Jonah was there watching. But then, she disappeared. The many months Zander spent trying to find her fell short. The same thing was going to happen to Sabrina if Elisha didn't do anything about it.

Ava paused. Jonah's long-winded fussing continued to spout through the phone's speaker. For a moment, she bad for wanting to get rid of Sabrina, then again, that wasn't any of her concern. Or, was it?

"So, Jonah," Ava spoke. "With everything you just told me, I'm really just your servant who you really don't need, right. I'm just some dumb bitch who's clueless, right?"

Jonah chuckled. "I couldn't have said it better myself. I guess you do listen."

"I do," she replied. The smiled on her face widened as she glared at Kevin. "But you know what I've figured, Jonah?"

"And now she thinks. That's about gawd damned--"

"You can go fuck yourself."

"The fuck's your--"

"Oh, Jonah. You have no idea what kind of shit I can release to the press about you. And since I'm only just a stupid woman, I think it's time for me to get smart and do my own thing."

"Woman, you have no idea what I can do to you."

"I know what you can do, but I don't give a shit." Ava laughed at Kevin's wide eyes and raised eyebrows. "Go ahead and do what you want. I'm going to get what I want. What about you?"

"So help me God, Ava if you fuck this up for me I will--"

"There's only thing you can do and that's cry on the phone like the little bitch you are."  Ava ended the call abruptly. She stood from the table and tossed Kevin the keys to his car.

"Sounds like you took my advice," Kevin said. He walked to the front door. "I like that."

"You were right about him."

"Told ya' I was," he said with a smirk. "But how you're gonna get ole dude's money."

"That's easy," Ava said, glaring into Kevin's eyes. She smiled, finding herself captivated by them again. "He thinks I'm stupid. I know where his stash is kept."

Kevin nodded his head while opening the door. He gestured for her to exit the door as he held it open for her. "Ladies first."

"Thank you." Ava walked to the car. She watched Kevin unlocked the vehicle as he locked the front door to his home. "You ready to get your girl back?" She opened the door and got inside the car. She watched the sun descend into the darkness as the night clouds crept into the sky.

Kevin got inside the car and shut the door behind him. "That's all you had to say, girl."

She watched as they drove down the street. Daniel better had been keeping up with his end of the bargain he made with her earlier, she thought. After he deposited the last three million dollars into her account, all there was left to do was put a bullet in his brain like her mother should have done years ago. Everything was working out. Things were coming into fruition. If that was the only thing she learned about working with Jonah's insensitive ass, that was it. Ava sighed, then turned her attention to Kevin. Too bad she was going to have to do the same thing to him too. What Jonah took from her, she wanted it back. She wanted all of it back.
