Uncanny encounter

(Background)

Meanwhile, at the Ghost Family party, the girls' families and the others were gathering around after a lavish feast meal and a series of thrilling activities. It's so dark outside but that's what people love about it. The haunted, eerily atmospheric outdoor; the theaters; the ghost finding games; a deep dive to the spirit world allowing the living walkers to communicate with the souls of past lives. There's nowhere in the world Halloween can come as close as in Cork City Gaol, it will be no surprise if it is named the Ghost town or Goblin land. Indeed, Ghost Family is one gate of opportunity to revive the legendary tales of all spirits, as in a precise record: "including apparitions of the grey-clad women once incarcerated in its bare stone cells". Like a fairy, a spirit has its own beauty, where it is coming to your window at night then wake you up by a mournful, wailing scream to foretell the death of one of your family members like a *Banshee, ghosts have a will to be communicate with the humans, and by mean no harm. Most of the time, they come to your rescue; the other time, they might want to seek revenge, it's all about the connection you made with a spirit. One thing I'm most struck about these tales is that the spirits never seem to find themselves a peaceful place to rest, I guess that's why the festival is held to help us grasp the meandrous melancholy of the ghosts, unless it's *jack-o'-lantern. When their body becomes soulless, it's our chance to show them our hearts. The ghosts and the families, no line stands between.

Mrs. Roxanne was incredibly intrigued by such an unusual night, she helped herself from a few hiccups from the Lusca glass and said:

"Is anyone like me, I'm in my late 30s and these fork stories still fascinate me like my girlhood."

Her husband touched her shoulders with both hands as if he's afraid she'd fall:

"Rose and I went to middle school together, she never stopped talking about meeting the ghosts. One time she made me go with her to an unknown place so she could find a wisp something in a forest to find out who they were in the past lives. I warned her that we shouldn't go alone that far, by those aren't real creatures, we ended up getting lost. We got out eventually but even after that, she didn't stop believing in them. And guess what, my girl said she wanted to be the ghost expert." He said and everyone burst out laughing.

"Come on Alex, why are you never forgetting that. Just because I have a spiritual mind doesn't mean I didn't freak out." She crossed her arms in the front and made a frowning expression

Alex find her look amusing, he pat her shoulder like a buddy and said: "So who's the one to drag me there?"

Yui and Alexa's parents laughed again. Who would think adults can be this adorable.

"Truthfully, I have a deep passion with everything supernatural, I tell Audrey about the wisp stories almost every night before she goes to bed. Hey, talk about our daughter, have you seen her, last time I saw her she was with her friend, her name's Kayla something."

"Oh, that's my daughter, I didn't see her either."

"And Yui and Alexa as well, where were they?"

"I guess they all hanging out together." Kayla's dad said

"Well, do you think they'd get lost?" Roxanne asked worryingly

"Don't worry, I think they'd be fine. At least I'm assured that Audrey's curiosity doesn't hit the same as you, she dips in the supernatural world through books. When you were her age, you acted on it based on the adventures that were all written down in a novel. So there's a little chance they'd be lost in a forest" - Alex smiled at her while holding her hands.
