Part 7

We meet again

Aumi normally wouldn't be the type of person to engage in any kind of activities that cost her her life, she would never be a daredevil just for the fun of it, but when it comes to her mother, she'd risk it all. She know exactly what she would do that for, love. She was prepared for everything she needed, she even made some extra clothes last night with her wand just in case, after her mother told her that she haven't heard from Jack when she tried to connect to him. She got a big package where she put a bunch of potion materials and books in it, and some additional important stuff for herself. Lastly is her wand, of course, it make up the most part of her mission, without it, the whole thing is a failure without prediction. She took a deep breath, everything will be okay, she assured herself, you know what you do that for Aumi, so no holding back this time, it won't be the same as last time, just put yourself together, this is the day it would change everything. When she know she can do it, she was more than ready to, today she'd see him again, and he wasn't just any human she was referring to, she thought about the last time she met him in the forest, it give her more hope by the last look he gave her before he disappeared like others of his kind, though she'd never seen them before in person except in the book, her mother told her that he was the last one, all others were captured to be used as power for the previous witches before, but he was the first and probably the last human wisp on earth for now, so this is her chance, she had to find him, she now had to look for a savior in him for the person she always love and respect, her mother. When she was walking towards the door, a hand grabbed her by the wrist, it was her mother's. She looked at Aumi as to stop her because she didn't want her daughter to do any of what she was going to do. She said:

"Please think about what I said Aumi. I don't want you to put yourself in risk for me. I couldn't bear the thought of you going today and never come back home again. I don't want to lose the only thing I love."

She touched her mom's hand and said:

"I have thought about this mom, and I won't change my mind. Please don't be too worry mom, I said I'll find him, and I'll do it. I can take care of myself, nothing bad could possibly happen to me. Because it's my turn to protect you this time."

"Still, I just want you know that your father, and the mercenaries are still searching for him, and I can't even talk to him at the moment, and there's no way I can figure out his spot so I'm afraid you'll not make it. Those people, they can find what they saw but they don't have a vision like me, which doesn't even work which will be much more difficult and even if you could find him by chance, think about it: what if they don't give up and come back. If they see you, they'll hunt you both down and who knows what they could do to you. What you are doing is really reckless. So please, don't leave, for your own sake."

Aumi said nothing except for a smile, she hugged her mom goodbye and turned her back, she looked at her mom for the last time then she opened the door. She got out of the door then walked away, then her figure slow faded. Her mom was still looking at her direction, looking in a way she's breaking down. Then, suddenly, she called: "AUMI!" She rushed out of the door to run towards her daughter, luckily she can still catch up with her after few seconds. Aumi turned back to her mother with full of surprise, when she's about to open her mouth, her mom took out a tiny piece of paper looking something like a note inside a wish bottle.

"Aumi, wait"

"Mom? What are you... - "

"Here, if you can actually go, I want you to have this."
