STELLA HAD ALWAYS known she would attend college, from the moment she learned the extent of education she was determined to make the most of it.

And here she was, pulling into a parking spot and switching her car off, she sat there for a moment just taking it all in. Mothers and fathers everywhere, saying an emotional goodbye to their now grown children as they would have to adapt to the term 'empty nesters' for a while until their children would return to them as developed individuals.

Of course Stella had done it all herself, she never had supportive parents by her side and she was proud of the women she'd become on her own. However this did mean that she would have to haul all her belongings up flights of stairs and into a dorm room alone as she had no one there to aid her.

Unlocking the door she clambered out of her vehicle and unlocked the trunk, stacking a few crates and slamming the door whilst fumbling around with her keys in attempt to lock the car. She made her way inside, slowly locating the number she was searching for and struggled with the door handle for a while before finally letting herself in.

"Oh hey! You must be Stella right? Stella Greene?" An average height, beautiful girl stood before her, smiling at Stella seemingly glad to have her new roommate arrive so soon. "Uh yeah that's me." Stella chuckled in return "And you must be Lizzie Flores? Beautiful name by the way" Stella complimented. The two girls smiled in unison, both glad that their personalities seemed to compliment each other's perfectly.

They soon set to decorating, helping each other retrieve items from their cars, hanging up art and tapestries the two had brought with them to remind them of home and soon the dorm was full of lights and family portraits, art and posters, exactly the way they wanted it.

A knock on the door soon interrupted their decorating as Lizzie moved to open the door. Stood before them was a beautiful dark skinned girl and a sweet yet nervous looking guy. "Hey you two!" The girl started "I'm Chris and this here is my new friend Dalton, We live across the hall and thought we'd come say hi" Chris rambled as 'Dalton' stood awkwardly in the doorway with a small smile on his face.

Stella couldn't help but notice that Dalton was an attractive guy and hoped to get to know him a bit more, even just as friends.

Chris reached out to shake the girls hands, nudging Dalton to provoke him to introduce himself causing the three girls to chuckle at his nervousness as he mumbled a quiet "Sorry" to his roommate, throwing soft smiles at his new acquaintances and raising his hand to motion a small wave "yeah hey, I'm Dalton" he repeated, chucking awkwardly, as the girls did the same.

Chris wasted no time in entering the dorm and viewing the twos current decor situation, grinning in appreciation at their shared effort. "Cool place" She complimented, a genuine smile gracing her features as she grabbed Dalton, pushing him out of the dorm and back into their room, calling a quick 'goodbye!' To the girls.

"Well...she was nice? He seemed a bit quiet but he's probably just nervous, meeting so many girls at once." Lizzie chuckled, causing Stella to join in, leading to the girls laughing and chatting through the rest of the evening. Stella had learnt that whilst being a sociology student herself, Lizzie was studying art or more specifically oil painting (showing Stella all of her paintings as Stella complimented her profusely, demanding to see as many of them as possible, infatuated with her talent.)

The two soon headed to bed, exhausted from the trials the day had held and excitement they had for tomorrow, the beginning of the rest of their lives.
