Waking up, I knew instantly something was wrong. I could smell a faint smell of burning plastic, it's toxic fumes prickling at my nose. Rushing out of bed, I dared to open my door to reveal that where my hallway once was, it was completely demolished.
"The heck..." I call out.
Letting go of my door handle, I heard a spine tingling noise. A noise that resembled wood cracking, in fact, it was. The side walls of my room shifted. Looking up, the ceiling started to cave in.
"Please no." I begged.
Shaking, I turn and dash to pull up my blinds, revealing the suns' bright rays.
"If only I knew how to take out this screen." I muttered to myself. I found two latches that held a screen in that was attached to my window.
I fumbled with the two little latches, hoping that they would pop out the screen.
One minute had passed.SNAP
I pushed out the screen that tumbled down about 15 feet from my window. I didn't want to jump out, but I knew if I didnt, I would die.
"Why did my mom have to make me take a bedroom that was on the top floor." I whined, hoping that SOMEONE would answer.
I climbed out of the window and dropped myself down so that my hands were gripping the window sill. Taking one last breath, I let go of the window; hoping that if fate did come, it would come quickly.
