*Rose's POV*
My face is pressed against something warm and a little sweaty. My eyelids flutter open to the sound of my alarm.
Shit, I have work.
I look around, where am I? I look down and see the tattooed chest and curly hair. Harry. I had totally forgotten that I came over late last night to talk about us.
My mind still is trying to wrap itself around the conversation that we had last night as I try to get up without waking him. Unfortunately I slip on the sleek marble floors in my socks. A quick yelp comes out of my mouth as I fall onto the hard cold floor with a thud. Harry stirs in his sleep and rubs his eyes tiredly. He glances over to me and a worried look flashes across his face. Within seconds he's at my side.
"Oh my god. Rose are you okay? Are you hurt?" I shake my head not really knowing how to answer. I certainly don't feel great but I don't think I broke any bones.
"I think I'm fine just help me up please." Harry helps me up slowly, making sure that I'm not hurt.
"Are you sure you're okay?" I nod.
"My ass just hurts is all." He laughs at my comment and shakes his head.
"Of course you would fall on my living room floor." I join in his laughter. I'm normally not clumsy, in my defense I was distracted by his beautiful body sleeping on the couch.
"Can you get me my bag?" I point over by the door and he pads over quietly to get it.
"Here you go. I'm going to change for work, then I'll bring you to the hospital for your shift." Harry disappears up the stairs and I hear the shower water turn on. Changing into my scrubs seems like it takes forever because moving my lower body isn't too easy after my fall.
I make my way into the kitchen and open the fridge to get some orange juice for the both of us in travel mugs. My search through the cabinets proves unsuccessful for any actual food; looks like I'm getting a cinnamon roll at the cart outside the hospital.
Hands wrap around my waist and I shudder at the electric contact, even noticeable through my clothes.
"You look lovely in your scrubs today Rose." Harry's raspy voice tickles the back of my neck.
"Harry. . ." I draw out the end of my sentence hoping that he'll get the hint.
"Right sorry, starting as friends again. My bad." His arms drop from my waist and I'm saddened from the loss of contact. This is what I wanted anyways so I shouldn't complain.
"You don't have any food so I got you some OJ." I hold the travel mug out to him and Harry gladly accepts it.
"Let's go now. We can stop at Starbucks on the way." I shrug and grab my bag before we head down the elevator to the parking garage to his car. Harry opens and closes the door behind me like a true gentleman trying his hardest to impress a lady. He kindly hands me his phone to play the AUX and I choose the classical that he is accustomed to.
Harry hums along to the instrumental music but his hand stays on the shifter instead of on my thigh that I've become accustomed to. He pulls into the nearby Starbucks to order us some breakfast. We eat our sandwiches in silence and eventually arrive at the hospital.
"So. . .this is it. Your stop." We sit there in awkward silence. He finally decides to break it.
"I would like to see you after work if you're free." I bit on my bottom lip and shake my head.
"We can do a movie night in a few days. Some time apart to adjust might be a good idea." I can't bear to look at him but out of the corner of my eye i can see him nod to agree. "Thanks for breakfast and for the ride."
