After witnessing the deaths of his Squad 34 and his best friend, Armin comes out of a state of shock to find shaking him. Armin comes out of a state of shock to find shaking him. After snapping out of his trance, Connie asks Armin what happened to the rest of his group. Ymir states that they were obviously wiped out and criticizes him for being a coward as only he escaped death. Conny is about to fight her, but Christa breaks them up and attempts to calm everyone down. 

Armin leaves because he feels he would simply bring everyone down again and realizes that the world has always been vicious and believes his friends, Eren, Mikasa, Kaylee and Marcel, viewed him as someone to protect because he is so weak. 

He soon after comes across Hanna Diament, who is attempting to resuscitate Frank Kefka who was torn in half. She continues to administer CPR and begs for Armin's assistance, but Armin sees that Franz is dead and cries, pleading for Hanna to stop her futile efforts and expresses to himself that he cannot take this anymore.

Meanwhile at the gates of Wall Rose

There was a merchant that was blocking the gate with his wagon filled with goods. One of the Garrison soldiers was trying to arrest him, but the merchant told them that he could use his clout to get away with this and that these goods are worth more than these people's measly lives. He even said that they should be helping him push this through. 

Around this time a little girl saw an abnormal titan heading toward their way. Ian was astonished by the fact that it ignored them. Three blurs passed by Ian and the other elite soldiers, Mikasa, Marcel and Kaylee went towards the titan. Mikasa aimed for the nape while Marcel and Kaylee aimed for the ankles.

After they disposed the titan, they turned toward the crowd to see why everyone has not evacuated yet. Kylee and Marcel was surveying the crowd while Mikasa was asking why everyone was still there. The merchant from earlier was telling them to tell the people to help push the cart. 

The merchant was threatening them which they all looked unfazed. Kaylee and Mikasa was walking toward him making him call his henchmen to protect him. The henchmen ran toward them and got knocked out by both of the girls with a hit on the neck. Marcel was watching the girls (mostly Kaylee just in case she hurts the man) walk toward the merchant and draw their swords and on each side of his shoulder (basically boxing him inside the two) plunge the swords near his head. Kylee and Mikasa told the guy that he should move the cart before something happens to him. Marcel spoke up saying that he should listen to them or they won't be as pleasant as they were now.  After that the merchant told his people to get the cart out of the way so that the civilians could go through. 

The Mother and daughter that was saved by the three came over to them to tell them how grateful she was for their bravery to help them. The three friends saluted to both of them and went to the rest of the squad.
