Mountain Love

Chapter 13- Tuesday

The two evil eyes were haunting me. Trying to get me. I awoke in a sweat and screaming. I frantically kicked the sheets to get them off me, trying to get the evil man off of me.
Qualeb quickly rushed to my side and stroked my head whilst holding me. He had been taking a shower because he was still wet and was wearing just a towel. His body warmth instantly heated me up and I snuggled as close as I could to his chest. He kept making shushing sounds whilst kissing my head and stroking my back. I held onto him with all my might and fell asleep in his arms like that.

When I awoke again, Qualeb was sleeping next to me. I was spawned over him, touching his warm body as much as possible. I have not been intimate with anyone before but as I was looking at his chest and where his towel was loosely wrapped around his hips, my throat began to dry out. I moistned my lips and traced my fingers over his impressive chest. I had butterflies in my tummy and I was getting really hot. Qualeb groaned in his sleep and suddenly opened his eyes. He puts his hand on top of mine and gave me a long loving kiss on the lips.

We laid in bed for a while, whilst we were reading a book. After about an hour, Qualeb said he needed to tell me something and if I was up for a short trip. His tone was serious which in turn made me feel a bit nervous. Nevertheless, I agreed and we started to leave after lunch. Qualeb had a big sleigh which he used to gather wood. He made a bit of a seat with a few cushions and a blanket for me to sit on. I protested in vain that I could manage to walk but he wouldn't hear of it. He was a relative warm day and the sun was peeking through the snow covered trees as we made our way to our destination. I offered to walk for a bit but Qualeb just said in a while. I knew he wouldn't let me walk. Max was trailing behind me, keeping me company. I could see that Qualeb was straining and at one point I was debating whether to get off and just refuse to move.

"Baby, please let me walk. I can see you straining. Your back is going to get worse. Let me walk for a bit please?"

Qualeb stopped and turned around. He moved over to me and took me into his arms. This wasn't what I meant either and started to protest but he wouldn't hear it. We got to a clearing with a few bushes and we went through a little gap.

The view that met our eyes was beyond beautiful. It was a serene lake that was glistening in the sunlight because of the ice that lay on the top. There were snow covered pine trees on one side and some big mountains peeking on the other side. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I wished I had brought my camera with me. I tried to capture the moment with my extra camera but it was too vast in beauty to capture with the small camera. My ankle started to hurt so Qualeb placed me gently on top of the sleigh, then put a cushion on the floor in front of me and sat between my legs. I instinctively ran my fingers through his hair as we were watching the scene infront of us.

After a while, Qualeb took both my hands and put them around his neck. He placed small kisses on my hands and fingers before he carefully spoke.

"I need to tell you something." He turned around and looked at me. He was very serious and it made me feel nervous. He kissed my forehead every so gently before moving onto my eyes. He kissed my face, as if he was trying to memorise it. He nibbled my neck before resting his face in the nook of my neck and he sighed. He got up and his glance focused on my face.

"I love you my angel. I love you more than words can express. You literally have given me a new meaning in life. Heck you've given me a reason to life. I have been waking up every morning, awaiting your warmth and your smile. I love you Selena. You're my reason for living."

I could feel tears clouding my eyes as I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed me back before wiping my tears away.

"I love you too baby. I'm forever grateful for you and I love you so much."

He was scrouching in front of me, his hands on my legs. I looked at his handsome face, with the plaster on his right cheek. I absentmindedly touched the cheek to caress it.

He leaned into my palm and continued: "I can't live without you anymore. I would not be able to live one second without you by my side. You literally are the light that guided me out of my darkness. You have shown me kindness, a gentleness and love that I never thought I be able to experience. I have never felt more grateful and alive than this last week with you. Will you please stay with me? I will look after you and cherish you. I will ensure that you are taken care of.
I will try to make you as happy as you make me. I want your happiness and love for the rest of my life. I need you right next to me, today, tomorrow and forever.
Please don't leave me. Please stay with me. Please stay and be mine."

I couldn't believe my ears. I nodded my head and his face beamed. The joy and immense happiness I felt was short lived as his face quickly changed.
He stared down on the floor as he told me: "There just one more thing that I need to tell you. I.. I.. don't know if it will change anything but I don't want to keep anything from you."
