Chapter Three: Thursday ೃ⁀➷

BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BE-

Kunikida quickly turned off his alarm and got ready for the day excitedly knowing that today was Thursday. He gathered his things to head out the door. To his surprise there was someone waiting out side his door for him.

"Kunikidaaaaaa~"

It was Dazai...Great!

"Aww Ku, why don't you turn that frown upside down! I know you're so happy to see me!!" Jokingly teased the brunette man.

Kunikida sighed at his sarcastic enthusiasm. "Good morning to you too Dazai. What brings you to be outside my door this early in the morning?" asks Kunikida tiredly.

"Well... I hate you be the bearer of bad news butttttttt...we have a more intense mission today. Boss sent me over to give you news!" Said Dazai smirking at his own response and Kunikida's reaction.

"Why today?"

Kunikida asked himself looking at the sky rubbing eyes knitting his eyebrows together.
"Are you serious right now Dazai?" He said in a serious tone thinking about his plans that he had already made.

"Nope. Dead serious right now!" said Dazai putting both arms behind his head making his way over to Kunikida. "Why what's wrong tough guy? You're usually not this bummed out about missions?" joked Dazai.

"I just had already made plans with someone for later today since I apparently only had to work for a while." Sighed Kunikida upset thinking about how he might have to reschedule.

"You? Have plans? With someone?" Laughed Dazai at him covering his mouth trying to contain his laughter slapping his knee. "What? Did you finally meet your "Ideal Woman"?" Said Dazai mocking and laughing at Kunikida trying to fight back tears from laughing so hard.

"Actually Dazai... I think I did." said Kunikida in his serious tone as always. The atmosphere went quite for a bit. Dazai was taken aback by his response.

"What? You're serious?" replied back Dazai shocked.

"Pretty much." Said Kunikida pushing his glasses up and folding his arms.

"SINCE WHEN??" exclaimed Dazai with his eyes widened still in shock.

"A while now."

"Well then let's get going Mr.Idealist! Wouldn't want you to miss your first date ever." Teased Dazai as he rushed the taller male.

"It's not a date!! We're just getting something to drink." Kunikida said protesting against the comment.

"Haha! That's a funny joke. Good one Kunikida! C'mon let's get going! Wouldn't want you missing your date" He said as he winked laughing at the other male getting defensive about his remark.

Throughout the rest of the mission Kunikida had to deal with Dazai's jokes and teasing. Luckily they finished just on time. It was already 3:41 pm by the time they finished the mission. The only problem was Kunikida looked ROUGHH.

He tried to tidy himself up on his way to the bar but still looked a bit harsh. He prayed that you wouldn't notice it that much.

Kunikida made it to the bar just on time with a minute to spare.

Time-3:59pm

Perfect at least I made it a minute early.

Kunikida started looking around the bar hoping to see you. And he did. Kunikida thought you looked great. He smiled staring at you making his way towards you.

"Hello Kunikida! Good afternoon ! You alright?" you said a bit concerned.

"Hello Y/N! Good afternoon to you as well." He said respectfully to you. "And Yes. I am alright. Why wouldn't I be?" said Kunikida a bit confused.

"Um. You look half dead!?" You calmly stood up next to him to get a better look, causing him to get nervous.

Kunikida sighed at your reply. "Yeah, turns out at work they had me do something unexpected today and I ended up finishing last minute. I didn't even have time to fix myself " explained the tall male.

"Oh I'm so sorry about that!" you say as you pout slightly. "Don't worry I look worse after finishing a late Night Shift on a Friday night!" You joked trying to light the mood a bit.

Kunikida chuckled at your response. "I just wished I looked presentable for our first hangout outside the cafe." stated Kunikida upset.

"Psh- it's alright it happens" you said assuring him that it wasn't as big of a deal. " Hey I'm curious. What's your job anyways?" You say smiling coyly at him.

"Well...it's sort of complicated. I'm sort of some kind of detective. You know?" he said trying not trying to reveal much of what he actually did at the agency.

"Ah... I get it! That's cool!" you reply not really sure what that could mean but found it cool anyway.

You and Kunikida continued talking for the entire afternoon all the way until the night. You guys truly enjoyed eachothers company and really liked one another. Although the both of you were too shy to ever admit it.

"Tonight was so fun!" You say happily smiling at Kunikida.

"It really was. Tonight has probably the funnest night I've had in a long time thanks to you Y/N." said Kunikida as he looked into your glimmering eyes.

"Totally can agree with that!" You said giggling a little bit as you guys made your way out the bar. Kunikida absolutely adored your smile and laugh.

Kunikida chuckled. " Can I walk you to your car?" he offered nervously wanting to keep you safe.

"Oh! About that. I got a taxi to bring me here..." you said rubbing the back of your head nervously.

"Well in that case. Can I give you a ride home?" Kunikida offered again shyly looking at you.

"If it's not to much of an inconvenience I'd love that!" You said not wanting to bother the poor man.

"No absolutely not. Id happily drive you to your house!" He said with a warm smile really wanting to get you home safely.

"Thank you so much Kunikida. I owe you one." You say touching the side of his arm. Kunikida turns the other way in hopes his blushing wouldn't be to obvious.

"Come on let's go! It's getting late." He says gently guiding you to his car and opening the door for you like a gentleman.

"Thank you so much Kunikida!" You say thanking him 199 times for his kindness.

The rest of the car ride was pleasant it wasn't awkward or anything. You guys just talked about tonight and other things that you guys found interesting.

"Alright here's my stop." you say sadly not wanting to leave his side.

Kunikida slowly pulls up to your driveway to drop you off not wanting you to leave him either. "And so it is!" He says sadistically.

"Thank you so much for the ride Kunikida. It means a lot to me." You say really wanting him to know how much you appreciate it.

"Of course Y/N! Anytime. Have a good night I'll see you around!" said the man.

"You too! I'll text you! Bye Kunikida." You say sadly waving that your time together is over unfortunately.

Kunikida smiled at you waving goodbye. He was like a fan girl blushing about every interaction you guys have together.

That night he drove home and felt like the happiest man alive.
