Rue(MC)'s POV :
As soon as we walked inside the premises Alan walked up to us looking as nonchalant as ever. I smiled and extended my hand for a shake.
"You still up for the coffee ?" His poker face broke and a chuckle forced it's way out of his lips. He extended his hand and shook mine.
"I don't see any problem with that." He said with a small smile. I grinned.
"Good but first I gotta meet Hannah and Thomas." He nodded and lead us to a room where the couple were sitting side by side talking.
"Thomas ! Hannah !" I called out causing them to look at me. They both got up hurriedly and hugged me.
"Oh Rue...thank you ! Thank you sooo much !" They said together. I smiled and rubbed her backs soothingly.
"You don't have to thank me. I didn't do much." They let go of me and shook their heads.
"No Rue...you did more than we deserved." Hannah said with a sad smile.
"Rue...forgive me...I...tried to sacrifice you...I am so sorry Rue..." Thomas grabbed my hands and looked down. Tears threatening to fall down his eyes. I smiled and squeezed his hands.
"Chin up Tommy boy it all worked out fine in the end so it's okay." He  chuckled.
"I knew Dan was a bad influence on you." We laughed. Hannah hugged me again.
"Jake...is he okay ?" I felt my heart tighten. That's right...Hannah was in love with him...
"Is my brother okay..." I exhaled sharply.
"You know ?" I whispered back.
"Yes...Lily told me..."
"Hannah he hasn't contacted me yet..."
"Rue...I know if he contacts someone it would be you..."
"What makes you think that ?"
"I know him and after what Lily told me I can only imagine how much he loves you Rue...so don't give up on him...don't give up on my brother please..." I teared up.
"I will never give up on him...I love him...I love him so much Hannah..."
"I know he loves you too Rue...or should I say sister ?" She let go of me and grinned. I giggled.  
"Whatever pleases you."
"Um...I am still here ?" Lily asked. I chuckled and let go of Hannah.
"Alright you three take your time. I believe Alan wants to talk to me." I glanced at Alan who nodded.
"Alright see you later Rue."
"See ya." With that I walked out with Alan.
"So where shall we have our 'coffee date' ?" I asked.
"Date ?"
"Oh come on do you really think only couples can have dates ?"
"I always thought that yes."
"Boomer." I whispered.
"What was that Rue ?"
"Nothing don't worry about it."
"Alright get in." I looked past him and saw a blue rolls Royce.
"Car ? Are we going far ?" He held the passenger door open for me.
"There's a cafe nearby." I hummed and get inside. He got in and started the engine.
"Nice car by the way."
"Thanks." The rest of the drive was silent much to my pleasure. Soon enough we reached a cafe. He parcked the car and got out first to hold the door open for me. I got out with a thanks. We went in and sat on a seat by the large glass window. The waiter came and took our orders. Black coffee for him and a milky inced coffee for me.
"So Rue why didn't you tell me that your father is a detective ?" Wow jumping straight to the point aren't we ?
