Chapter 76 - Playful

Jhoanna's POV:

It's been a week since Nicolette woke up, and she's still in the hospital. I'm currently looking after her.

Her parents just arrived home after staying at the hospital with her throughout the night. We're taking turns watching over her, and now it's my turn to care for her.

Nicolette and I were having a conversation when some early and talkative visitors unexpectedly came to see her.

They arrived as a group and caused a commotion in the hospital, making Colet's room quite noisy and untidy.

Our friends are here to greet her and playfully tease her. The doctor has given the green light for visitors to come see Colet.

Sheki: “Sobrang himala talaga ng buhay mo. How many times have you survived being shot in your physical body? Dalawang beses na 'yon, 'di ba? Let's be honest, do you have nine lives like a cat? Sayang, nabawasan na ng dalawa HAHAHA” Sheki animatedly spoke loudly, causing Gwen to spit out her coffee onto Mikha. Some of Gwen's coffee even splashed onto Mikha's lap.

Mikha: “HOY Shuta! It's FREAKING hot! How could you, Gwen!” Startled, Mikha scolded Gwen, resulting in laughter from everyone else. Gwen, feeling bewildered, didn't know how to handle the situation with Mikha's coffee-covered thigh.

Gwen: “I'm sorry, blame Ate Sheki! Dumaloy sa ilong ko yung kape dahil kay Ate Sheki!” She chuckled at the incident, grabbing a tissue from the table and handing it to Mikha. However, she still held onto her own cup of coffee.

Sheki: “Oh bakit nasali ang pangalan ko sa inyo?! Nagtatanong ako ng maayos dito. Malay ba nating pusa pala itong si Nicolette noon.” She added more which Gwen supported by laughing harder, not minding her itchy nose because of the incident earlier.

Stacey: “Excuse me?! Ako lang ang pusa dito, Ate Sheki. I'm the only cutie pink, lowkey, and mysterious Cat in the world, hmp.” She butted in, walking around the room like she's a dazzling famous model. Well, she's fit to be a model though.

Maloi: “Amaccana, beh. Sisipain kita palabas dito sa hospital kapag hindi mo itinigil 'yang kaartehan mo!”

Brei: “Bakit ba parang ang init ng ulo ni Panda?” She asked, enjoying a different side of Maloi.

Mikha: “Kasi po we saw Ate Yumi here sa hospital talking with a handsome doctor together with Paolo. Then suddenly, bigla nalang po siyang naging ganyan.” She explained while drying her thighs with a wet towel.

Maloi: “Hoy Conyong froglet! Huwag kang bumoses kung ayaw mong ilublob kita sa isang drum ng kumukulong kape!” She exclaimed which earned a loud laughs.

Gwen: “Ang brutal mo naman magselos, Ate Maloi. Kung sakit lang ang pagseselos, baka ma-confine ka pa dito. At least you'll get the chance to see Ate Yumi.”

The other girls, Ate Abby, Ate Aiah, and Sheena, were listening to the noisy group's banters. Adding to the loud laughs echoing inside my girlfriend's room.

“Are you alright? Do you want anything?” I asked Colet as I shifted my gaze towards her.

Colet: “I'm fine, it's entertaining to watch them.” I leaned down and planted a kiss on her forehead.

Abby: “Kita ko 'yon! Sisiw made a move HAHHAHA”

Sheki: “Jhoanna, since when did you pick up such damoves? Who taught you that? HAHAHA”

Oh no, the lively bunch of crazy people noticed me again. I thought they were preoccupied with teasing Maloi. Sa akin na namang ang spotlight. I thought to myself.
