Schlatt pov:

I ran up a flight of stairs to rescue Phil from his work. I looked up at the soundproof office door as I debated whether he'd hear a knock. No, what am I kidding. It's soundproof. I then pretty much burst through, worried about Wilbur. Phil stood up straight away, obviously not distracted by his work. He looked at me with concerned and confused eyes.
"Will jumped out of the window!"
I screamed, feeling my voice leave my quivering lips.

Phil took a moment to process this.
"He what!? Is he okay??"

I'm stupid.. I forgot to check if he was alright. I forgot to help him.
"He jumped out of the window.. I'm not sure if he's okay or not.. "

Phil basically took flight as he ran down the stairs. it was the fastest run I had ever seen. I quickly ran after him, almost tripping down them.

"We need to find him! "
Phil said in a frenzy of worry and panic.

I nodded, noticing that he probably wouldn't see me doing it but oh well.
"Yeah! He should he fine though right..? "

"No time to predict the future, mate. "
He said as he reached the bottom of the stairs in seconds. He fled out of the front door, running round the side to see if will was still there. I was in bare feet, not being able to stop for shoes. The rocks sliced open my feet, making me whince a bit but I carried on.

Once we got there Wilbur was not there anymore. He was just gone. No footprints, no signs, no nothing..

Third pov:
They both set out to find the window jumping Daredevil. They split up, walking into the forest after walking all the way around the house. Schlatt took himself to the spot that him and Wilbur met to get high. There was no will. Phil went to the spot he usually sat. There was no will.

"Will, come here! You're not in trouble I promise! "
Phil called out.

There was no answer. Only the eerie silence that took a deafening toll on the forest.

"Will, Darling! Come back! I'm sorry. I won't say anything at all like that again, I promise! "
Schlatt called. Again.. Silence. Wilbur was either choosing to ignore them or truly lost and deeper into the forest.

Phil searched high and low for his son, not being able to find a trace of him.
"If it's something I've done, I can be better. I shall stop working so much. "
He continued to call.

Still.. No answer. There was a shift in the forest by schlatt as his hopes lifted.
"Will!? Will! I was so worried about y- oh.. "
There was a squirrel in front of him, staring at him with a cocked head, holding a nut.

Schlatt felt himself fill with anger at the squirrel. It did nothing wrong but he desperately wanted to skin it alive for not being Wilbur.

Phil looked around faster for his child, lost to the forest and it's silence. He listened for even a twig snap, hoping it could be the hiding child. He waited and waited and waited until something happened. Story says that he was waiting forever because nothing ever happened. Not in this spot anyway.

He walked on, stopping to listen to the now darkened forest. Barely any moonlight reached the forest floor in which was covered with vines of ivy.

Suddenly, there was a thud. Phil rushed over to it, falling on the ivy before he crawled to it. Phil could feel schlatt's horns beneath his hand which was stretched out in front of him. It turns out that they both had been led to this pitch-black place in the forest and tripped on the poor ivy. Phil searched to find a flashlight in his pocket, turning it on with a click.

“For fucks sake mate, I thought you were a deer with those fuckin' horns of yours. ”

Schlatt gasped in dramatic pain.
“How.. Dare.. You.. ”
Schlatt got up and cursed under his breath, walking off.
“I'm finding your fucking son. ”

Phil got up after, walking  the other way. He heard a childish and familiar giggle.
