They say to overcome something, you must first accept it.

A year later, and I'm visiting his grave for the first time.

I ended up quitting my office job, and decided to travel as Damien and I planned to do. Visiting the destinations he told me he always wanted to visit; I actually just flew back in from Santorini Greece, where we were planning to go for our official honeymoon.

"Do you want us to come with you?" Cammie asks, her hand resting over her cute baby bump.

I'm happy for them.

"No. I'll be okay." They both smile, hugging me.

I walk out the door, Vince walking me to my car.

"Have you been sleeping?" I smile sheepishly. He shakes his head, closing the door for me.

He hasn't stopped asking. And I mean it's not as bad as last year, but it's still not the best.

"I'm not worried." He says and I watch him confused. He steps back, telling me to go, so I do.

On my way over I had to mentally prepare myself. Moving forward without him was hard, but I'm grateful for the support system I have around me.

Carson and Charles, have helped me so much with settling with everything, and as I've heard the company is doing so great as well. Only claiming Damien's words to be true in regards to Carson.

As for his mother and sister, they have been trying to restore their relationship with Carla for the longest time, but the girl has not allowed them back into her life. Which I am proud of.

She did at first try to help them out, but when she realized that they only wanted to take and take from her and then be demanding and ungrateful with it, they had a big argument and she completely cut them off.

As far as her business, being the sister of the great Damien Alexander, has lead to a lot of business for her. And honestly she's really great at what she does.

I arrive at the very neat grave yard, finding peace that the place has well kept. That's one of the reasons why I choose here. They treated even the dead with care.

Stepping out my car, my heart begins to race, so I take a deep breath.
I got this.

Turning behind me, I grab the bouquet of dandelions, walking towards where I remember they had buried him.

I remember balling all my heart out when they began to lower him into the ground, and how Vince had to hold me back from almost jumping in. I'm so happy the burial was family and close friends only.

When I finally stood in front of his grave, I turned my back to it, tightening my hold on the flowers in my hand.

Looking up to the sky, I take a few deep breaths, before turning back around. Walking up to the tomb stone, and resting the flowers down.
