We were to walk down the aisle, and pledge our love before our friends and family today. Dammit I remember being so happy when she said yes, we both were.

I did everything to make her happy. But that didn't seem like enough.

I knew her and the bastard grew up together, but she told me they were only platonic. He agreed as well.

Sitting down on my bed, throwing my towel over my shoulder, a fresh pair of slacks and a tee on.

Could they have really always like each other? He congratulated me dammit.

Flashback

"Congratulations dude." Richard comes over to me, and we bro hug.

"Thanks man. I can't believe she said yes." I state as I stare at her, showing off the ladies her ring. He comes to stand at my side, and she looks over to us, a bright smile on her face. She looks over to Richard and her smile drops almost slightly, but he gives her a thumbs up, and she smiles softly.

"Let's take pictures!!" My mom shouts.

Nah. He didn't right? I think back at the time in the penthouse, earlier this month.

I walk inside, hearing whispers coming from the kitchen.

"Richard I-"

"Hey guys!" They both snap to look at me in shock.
"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah man. We were just talking about bridal shopping. She wants me to come with the ladies. Being like her brother and all." He looks to her when he says the last part, I did pick up a tone with how he said it, but he probably was just teasing her.

"I see no problem with it. You guys are like siblings, so why not." I say walking over to her, wrapping my arm around her waist, and kissing her cheek. Richard chuckles, picking up the glass of water and taking a drink.

"Stop it." She sternly tells him, and he puts the glass down, raising his hands in surrender.

Was I really that blind? Were they trying to figure themselves out all that time?
Or what about the time at the engagement dinner? Even then?

I walk out the back door, into the gardens. Feeling completely content.
Dhaliah did a great job with the dinner.

A few people were outside, as well taking in the cold air. Walking more over to the waterfall, I hear two people like they were arguing.

"Just talk to me!"
"No! What happ- doesn't even matter! No! You can't do this! You're like my brother! Just a friend!"

It sounds like Becca and Richard? I think to myself. Walking over to their direction, I find them staring up at each other. They were more to the back of the waterfall, by the entrance of the hedge, pathway that lead to the gazebo but I could see them slightly from by the waterfall.
