Welcome to my new story! I was bored so I decided to add this. The Disappearance will be updated almost every two days while this book (Lovely) will be updated every week, but no promises! My old writing is now improving so these new updates will have better quality (hopefully). That's it, I guess.
Nico stared as it all happened. When he was about to climb the ladder up to the flying ship, he heard his younger half-sister yell, "Cut it! Her ankle!"
Nico glanced at Percy and Annabeth. One second he was feeling so weak he could barely hold a jar of pickles, the next, he felt as powerful as he was when he was eleven.
Sword in hand, the son of Hades ran forward to Annabeth, who was trying to back away from the Pit.
He sliced through the webs and pulled Annabeth away, Percy following, but Percy was getting pulled away like metal to a magnet.
"Percy!" Annabeth cried. "Percy, no!"
Percy lost balance and fell, gripping rocks. But it didn't matter. Percy fell, no longer touching ground.
At least, the demigods thought so. But really? He was hanging onto a ledge, about fifteen feet below them.
Annabeth ran forward. "Percy!"
Percy's hand was slipping. Nico wanted to save them both, but being a demigod, he learned that you couldn't save everyone.
For some reason, Annabeth didn't fall, and neither did Nico. He assumed that the Pit was happy with what they got: Percy Jackson, savior of Olympus.
"Don't worry about me!" Percy shouted. "I-I'll come back!" It sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than the others. "Nico!"
Nico breathed in, wiped a tear from his face and looked down at Percy.
"Nico, you gotta lead them. The other side, remember?"
"B-but . . ." Nico didn't feel like leading was right. He was usually the side character, just there for backup.
"Nico! Promise me," Percy told him. "You have to! Or else we won't be able to defeat the Giants and Gaea will awaken!"
"I-I promise."
Percy gave Nico a sad smile. "Annabeth? I love you. Remember that." He let his hand slip off the ledge and he fell, heading towards the deepest pit of the Underworld: Tartarus.
Annabeth sobbed, with Nico awkwardly patting her back. "Don't worry," he said. "We'll get him back."
Annabeth looked up. "How do you know that?"
"Because I know Percy. And I know you do too."
Annabeth wiped a tear and nodded.
"Now, come on, we have to get to the Argo II."
Annabeth nodded once again before standing up and following Nico to the ship's ladder.
Nico and Annabeth climbed it, greeted by the rest of the crew. The remaining ones of the seven: Jason, Piper, Leo, Hazel and Frank.
Jason Grace, the blonde with pale skin and electric blue eyes under glasses, was a son of Jupiter. He was one of the three Romans. He was wearing a purple T-shirt that had said "SPQR" at one point. He was American.
Piper McLean, the brunette with tan skin and kaleidoscope eyes that were always changing, was a daughter of Aphrodite. She was one of the four Greeks, including Percy and excluding Nico, as he wasn't part of the seven. She was wearing a plain white top with light blue jean shorts. Piper was dating Jason. She was part Cherokee.
