Percy looked at Weirdo, then the other girl, then back at Weirdo. "Who—?"

"No. Shut up."

The demigod rolled his eyes but kept quiet—a first, though it wasn't like anyone would want to cross Weirdo.

The girl—Apollo something—smirked at both of them, as if she knew something he didn't. "Who's this?"

"None of your business," Weirdo said. "Get lost, Apollonia."

"No, I think I'll stay," she said, like a bratty little sister would—not that Percy knows anything about it, as he was an only child (and pretty grateful of that). She walked up to Percy, looking him up and down. "What number is this? Eight? Ten?"

Percy looked at Weirdo in confusion. "What's she talking about?"

Weirdo shook her head. "I think she used up all her brain cells trying to come up with a come back."

He nodded slightly, though he was still confused. What did she mean eight or ten? Did this happen before? Was he getting tricked by her? He decided to just stay calm—as if he could do that.

"Anyways, we'd better be going," Weirdo began to say.

"Hold on—you can't leave so soon!" Apollonia smiled innocently. "You just came!"

Weirdo stared at her. "What?"

Apollonia's smile grew into a grin. "Did you think I'd just let you go after what you did last time?"

What'd she do last time? Percy thought. He was starting to get a little scared. He didn't know either of them, what Apollnia was planning, what Weirdo did to make her plan that, and if something would happen to him too. He silently prayed to the gods that it wouldn't—just as he realized he was still in Tartarus. The gods couldn't help him, even if they wanted to, which he doubted. He had a pretty bad reputation with most of the gods.

"Are you still mad about that?"

"Yes. Yes I am." She tilted her head ever so slightly. "And I have backup."

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a giant grabbed Weirdo with a hand as large as Percy's entire arm—if not, two—and held her up high in the air.

The giant might've been almost as tall as the Empire State Building, and as wide as it. He had a wicked smile on his face, like he was enjoying this. His clothes were all ripped, though in Tartarus, so was everyone's. His spiky red hair was about as tall as Riptide, Percy's pen-sword (in sword form, obviously).

"Hey!" Percy yelled at Apollonia. "Tell him to put her down!"

Apollonia laughed. "Or what?"

He unsheathed his sword—in pen form.

Apollonia laughed harder.

"Oh? Is that funny?" He uncapped it and pointed it at Apollonia's throat. "If that giant right there doesn't let her go—alive—I swear on the River Styx I'll make your life such a living nightmare you'll be begging me to cut your throat with this sword."

She immediately stopped laughing, genuinely looking scared. Her eyes were wide open, staring at his in horror. "L-LET HER GO!" she shouted.

But the giant didn't want to. Instead, he started to squeeze Weirdo, making her scream.

Percy pressed the sword harder against Apollonia's throat.

"LET HER GO!" she gasped.

The son of Poseidon turned to look at the giant, but the red headed monster still didn't listen.

Percy looked back at Apollonia. "He's not—"

BANG

Percy whipped his head around, looking for the person—or object—responsible for making the sound when he saw something straight out of a fairytale.

It was Bob! He had somehow gotten the giant to fall on the ground, making him let go of Weirdo.

Percy pulled his sword back from Apollonia, staring at Bob in shock. "How'd you do that?!"

"Bigger they are, harder fall is!" he said with a huge grin.

Percy shook his head in disbelief. "That's awesome."

Weirdo was on the floor still, probably trying to recover from the giant squeezing her. She looked at but purple, but she was still breathing luckily.

The demigod walked up to her. "Are you okay?"

"Do I look okay?"

Ugh. Even when she almost died, she's still got an attitude.

"No, you look like that girl who got turned into a blueberry in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," he teased.

She groaned. "Do you ever shut up?"

"Nope." He extended a hand to help her up, which she accepted. Percy pulled her up, only for her to fall flat on her face. "Oooookay, guess we're resting here."

He glanced back at Apollonia, only to find that she had ran off. Good, he thought. Then we won't have to deal with her.

Percy sat down next to Weirdo, capped his sword, put it in his pocket, and closed his eyes. "Hey Bob?"

"Yes, friend?"

"Take watch."

As soon as his head hit the floor, he was asleep.
