After Aziraphale left with Metatron
Crowley watched as the one person who loved him and actually believed in him left to be with the people who exiled him for having an opinion. The people who saw the worst in him only, or is that all he is. A problem. That people try to solve but then realise is insolvable and just throw it away for others to repair, even if they were the ones who made the problem and made it worse by trying to fix it. That's how Crowley felt in that moment. He wanted to hate Aziraphale, but he couldn't. He could only hate himself.
Crowley sat in his Bentley. He took of his glasses and threw them out the car window. His body trembled with anger, but all that stained his face was tears. All he wanted to do was scream, so that's what he did. He screamed, cried and let everything out. He didn't care what people thought. Why did it matter? 'Heaven and hell don't matter.' 'People don't matter.' 'The world doesn't matter.'
'Crowley doesn't matter'
Words repeated over and over in his mind as he screamed like a lunatic.Like a man. A human. With thoughts and stupid emotions. Crowley felt more human than he had ever felt.
After a few minutes, Crowley got out his car and stepped into the bookshop. Muriel watched as the demon pushed straight passed them and reached into a cupboard.
"What are you doing..? Are you ok Mr. Crowley?" Muriel asked, concerned for their heart broken friend.
Crowley didn't answer. Just ignored them as he pulled out a flask from the cupboard. A small label reading 'holy water. KEEP AWAY FROM CROWLEY' was pressed onto the bottle. Crowley slowly placed the flask in his pocket and walked out the bookshop without a word.
Maggie and Nina watched from the coffee shop as Crowley got in the Bentley and sped down the street of soho. Something was weird about this though since he wasn't playing any music. No queen. Just silence. They looked at each over with a concerned look.
"Is he alright? Do you think it didn't go well?" Maggie asked.
"I don't know... I hope it didn't ruin their relationship," Nina said sadly. "Guessing from that whole thing though, I think it probably did."
Crowley drove to Berkeley square. Tears rolled down his eye as he remembers the memories he has there with Aziraphale. If only things worked out, so that such a lovely place wouldn't be another reminder in his mind to all the things he did wrong and all the things that he caused that made Aziraphale leave in his mind...
