"Overall, we feel as if this will be a win-win for everyone. We get healthy and go on a trip, while you no longer have to worry about us and get a peaceful weekend all to yourself." Jane finishes, looking her mom square in the eye.
Her mom sighs, and says, "I still am not sure if this trip is the best decision for you."
I see Jane take a deep breath, it looks like shes about to start yelling. I place my hand on her arm for reasurance, and it seems to remind her of what we tslked about befroe we came here.
"Mother, that is your opinion, and I respect it. However, I beleive that this trip will be an eyeopening experience, for both Mel and me. It will give us the oppertunity to grow up and explore the perks and responsibilities of adulthood."
Jane's mother sits in silence for a minute, seeming to mull over this.
Then she looks up. She doesn't say anything. She just nods.
