Joao started walking back to his car after a long training day. He was hit with the gloomy weather of London. He got into his car and started driving back to his house where he showered and put on gray sweatpants. (ifykyk 😉)
His phone buzzed and it was his teammates inviting him out to a club. He reluctantly agreed and looked at his watch. 4 o'clock. He didn't have to leave until 8 so he sat down on his couch and decided to scroll through instagram. He came across an actress's page, Olivia Cruz. His eyes lit up and his heart fluttered. "She's gorgeous." He thought and started scrolling through her page.
He didn't realize how long he'd been scrolling on her page until he heard his doorbell ring. He looked at the time on his phone. "Shit!" He quickly scrambled up from the couch and went to the door. He opened it and was greeted with his teammate Kai's smiling face, which quickly fell into a frown when he saw that Joao wasn't ready.
"Bro, what are you wearing? Don't tell me you forgot." Kai looked at Joao's clothing. "No, I didn't forget, I just lost track of time, that's all." Joao gave his teammate a half hearted smile and rubbed the back of his neck. Havertz pushed Joao into his house and to his bedroom.
"Hurry up, you have five minutes to get ready, then we leave." Kai walked out the room to give Joao some privacy. Joao found a white button down and paired it with grey bottoms.
He walked out to the living room where Havertz was and hit the back of his head to let him know that he was ready. They walked out the door and into Kai's car.
They finally arrived at the club and ordered a flight of shots. They each downed two and went to a table in the back corner where their other teammates were.
Joao sat down near the end of the table and began talking to some of his teammates. A few of them eventually made their way down to the dance floor, leaving Joao and Kai alone. He eventually got up to get the two drinks and that's when Joao looked at his phone. He checked insta, for Olivia specifically. Kai had come back with the two drinks when he saw Joao smiling at his phone.
"Whatchu lookin at?" Havertz smiled as he saw Joao jump. "Jesus man, you almost gave me a heart attack!" Joao held a hand to his heart. Havertz held his hands up in defense and caught a glimpse of Joao's phone. "Ooo who's that?"
He snatched his phone out of his hands and saw Olivia's instagram. He looked at Joao, whose face was bright red. "This was who you were looking at earlier isn't it? That's why you weren't ready when I came to pick you up! It makes so much sense now!" Joao stuttered as he tried to defend himself.
"Yeah, okay, maybe I might have stalked her account..." Kai laughed. "Have you even liked a post of hers?" Joao shook his head. "Dude! How is she supposed to know who you are if you don't show yourself?"
Joao grabbed his phone back and decided to like her latest post of her on a red carpet. "See? There you go man!" Kai smiled and took a swig of his beer.
By the end of the night, Joao was drunk out of his mind. He continued taking more and more shots, making him drunker by the second. Kai and his teammates had to drag him out of the club and into the car.
Havertz pulled him out of his car and threw him onto his bed. Joao, not being able to think straight, did the thing that sounded great in his brain but horrible on paper, he grabbed his phone and followed Olivia's account. With a satisfied smile creeping up on his lips, he fell fast asleep.
