with a slam, seungmin closed the case file. his stomach churned.

"crazy story, huh?" jeongin asked, leaning against the wall. "sad ending, too."

"yeah. i will never understand cases like this. that poor guy." as he spoke, seungmin stood up, fixing his uniform a little.

"we're lucky that dumbass kept notes of all his crimes. makes it obvious what happened here."

"mhm."

simply watching as jeongin stepped over to open the case file again, seungmin took the time to clean his glasses.

the younger officer began writing some stuff down on a sticky note, placing it on top of the file.

"what are you doing?"

"branding the case. you need to call it something when you hold your little speech, officer," jeongin tauntingly spoke. "you're welcome."

only giving a bored face back, seungmin took the file and headed to the front doors of the police building. outside the doors were swarms of people, all speaking at the same time.

"hello everyone. i want to inform you that earlier today, a few of my very talented colleagues were able to track down a very known serial killer. lee minho had been laying low lately, but he was found hiding out in a cabin in the woods.

alongside him was another man. a man whose face is not a stranger to news reports. i have been given permission by his family to say this. with him, he had the missing man, han jisung.

their story is strange, to say the very least. but it has all been kept by these notes in mr lee's cabin. it tells us in great detail what occurred every day in the cabin. it told us everything about their feelings towards each ocher. and showed us just how incredible the human brain can be.

what happened in this cabin and before that was tragic. mr han had been partying, much like any other person his age. at night, he was abducted by mr lee, and brought to his basement.

both of their stories also have very tragic endings. mr lee was shot as he tried fleeing the scene with han. and after that, mr han took it upon himself to... reunite them again.

this is a case of manipulation, and mind control. mr han was taught to believe that he was safe and in love with this serial killer.

this is a very extreme case of what we call stockholm syndrome."
