10 years later.

Hoon's POV

It's been 10 years since Elezia passed away. I have remembered her longer than I've known her. So many things happened in the past years.

I discovered Elezia's diary when I visited her aunt's house. She's been through so much and it hurts me that I didn't do anything to make her stay. Nakulong ang tito niya and he's paying for his sins, I made it all happen for Elezia to get the justice she deserves.

We moved to US and dad died there dahil nagkasakit siya. Money couldn't save him after all. Nagkaayos naman kami bago siya mamatay, at least ay nakabawi na siya sa akin. Matthew, my brother, got married and had children.

While I don't plan on marrying anyone. I promised that I will only marry Elezia.

On her death anniversary, I visited the beach full of our memories. I can still see and remember her everywhere. But I'm afraid I no longer remember her voice...

I brought a bouquet of flowers at ipinatong ko 'yon sa puno kung saan kami nagsusulat ng message.

I picked up a sharp rock and I carved the date and my message.

"07-14-33" I muttered what I'm carving on the tree. I'm doing this all alone now.

"Zia, I am now a Psychiatrist. Can you believe that?" Pinunasan ko ang mga luha ko matapos kong isulat ang message ko.

I heard little footsteps behind me kaya agad akong napalingon.

I saw a child wearing a dress, may hawak siyang plastic full of marshmallows. She stretched out her hand offering me one.

"Doctor, don't cry! Here, marshmallow. Please don't cry!" She said in her small voice.

Natigilan ako when I realized who this kid resembles. I accepted her offer and ate the marshmallow.

"Fine, I won't cry anymore." I finally smiled genuinely after all those years.

Agad namang dumating ang mga magulang ng bata at nag-sorry sila dahil naabala ako ng anak nila.

"She has a bright future ahead." I told her parents.

Her parents thanked me and she smiled brightly as she walked away holding her parents' hands.

I waved her goodbye at agad akong napatingin sa paglubog ng araw.

The sunset is as beautiful as her.

Until we meet again, Elezia.
