Meeting The Family

Astrid's pov
The screen turns back on.

I walk in behind Kol nervous to meet his family.
"Kol, just in time dinner is almost ready" his mother said
"Mother I would like you to meet someone"Kol said before stepping aside letting me talk to his mother
" Hello Mrs. Mikaelson, it's lovely to meet you my name's Astrid Malcom" I say smiling at the woman
"Oh please call me Ester dear it lovely to meet you too"Ester said
" Will you be joining us from dinner?" she adds looking between me and Kol
"Yes, Kol invited me I hope thats alright" I ask worried I've done something wrong
"Oh no dear not at all I'm happy Kol brought you to come and meet us" she responds
"Thank you" I said she just waved me off

Kol grabbed me by the hand and pulled my into the dinning area where his family is and pulled out a dart next to him for me to sit in. Ester walking in after us.
"Everyone this is Astrid, Kol's friend. Let's give her a proper Mikaelson welcome"
She says while passing out plates and putting bowls of food on the table. A blond girl speaks first "Hello Astrid, my names Rebekah it nice to have another girl around here" Rebekah says looking happy to have another girl in the village
"That's Finn" she said pointing to a brunette hair boy that looks to be the oldest
"Then there's Elijah, Niklaus, and Henrik" she said pointing to each one while saying their name so I know whose who.
"Lovely to meet you all" I said looking around the table
The man who I assume is Ester husband speak with authority
" I'm Mikael" he says while glaring at me I look away quickly
"Let's eat" Ester says breaking the tension
  Everyone began grabbing food and started eating until Mikael cleared his through to announce he wanted everyone attention
"So where are you from" he said looking at me
"A near by village just north of here" I said politely

"Oh I remember this diner oh bloody hell it was awful" Rebekah says annoyed
"You got that right" Kol said while the screen turns back on

"So why did you come here" he say suspicious of me
"My mother died"I say bluntly
"Oh I'm sorry dear thats awful" Ester said sympathetically
"What happened" he ask suspicious while his wife glared at his for being rude.
"My father killed her" I said shocking everyone at the table even Mikael but he composed himself quickly.

"Damn what the hell happened" Damon says interrupting
"Maybe shut the hell up and we can find out" Axel replies sassily
"Dumbass" Scar adds
Everybody laughs at that except Damon who tools his eyes and glares at the twins 
"That is definitely your kids" Rebekah says to Kol and Astrid laughing.
The rest of the mikealsons nod in agreement.

    "Omg" Henrik says with wide eyes
Ester clears her throat to get everyone's attention
"So how long are you staying here" She says trying to change the subject which I was thankful for
"I'm not sure yet" I reply looking at Kol.
Kol smiles at me happy that I came to the village.
"So who are you staying with?" Mikael ask looking between me and his wife
"I'm not staying anywhere I just living on the rode right now" I say embarrassed looking down
"So your homeless" Klaus says stating the obvious
"Niklaus have some respect" Mikael says glaring at the boy with the same face as my father would have when yelling at me.
I look said my at Niklaus knowing how it feels.
"It's alright he's not wrong"I respond defending Niklaus 
"We'll how about you stay with us" Rebekah says hopefully looking at her mother
"Yes of course you should stay until you figure everything out" Ester says taking Rebekah's side.
"I don't want to intrude"I say worriedly
"Oh not at all dear it's fine we're happy to have you" she says winking at Kol knowingly.
"Okay I will stay thank you" I say making Rebekah cheer along with Henrik both for different reasons Rebekah for another girl and Henrik for someone to play with.
Kol smiles grabbing my hand under the table happy he'll be able to see me everyday.

Time skip A week later

   Kol  and Astrid have gotten much closer is the past week flirting and even a few kisses here and there. She also has told Kol what happened. Astrid loves stay with the mikaelsons. She has already made bond with each mikealson.
Her and Nik are best friends. Rebekah and  Astrid bonded over being the only girls while her and Elijah have a brother sister bond. Her and Finn have a mutual understanding. Henrik was like a son to Astrid and Astrid a second mother to Henrik. Ester is another mother to Astrid.

The only person who hates Astrid being here is Mikael he does everything in his power to keep her and Kol separate from each other.

There is going to be a time skip in the next chapter just before Henrik dies.
