❒ Chapter 7: "Crazy Shenanigans" ❒

"Ah Lady Aphmeow..." I called to her as she tried climbing on her boat. "What do you mean by we need to go to Phoenix drop?" she looked at me. "Well we need someone to decipher what 'Bawk! Baawwwwk! Bgagck!' means so we need to go talk to Kiki!" I smile at her. "There's no need for that lady Aphmeow, we're just gonna burn daylight! Lucky for you I can translate that myself! It means 'I'm cursed! Please help!'" I smile at her letting Cadenza out of the lasso and onto my head. "This chicken is Cadenza." I explained. "Huh? How'd you- Is it cause your part Cat?" Aphmau asked me confused. "Haha maybe, but mostly because I have a good grip on my sound magicks that I can translate sort of things like that." I told her. "Ohh then hello there cadenza!" she waved at the red chicken nervously. "Bawk!" Cadenza flapped her wings. "She says hello." I picked Cadenza off of my head. "So uhm Cadenza... What happened?" Aphmau walked us over to a secluded area in the forest a bit near from where we found Cadenza to ask her about questions, Cause like we'd look like crazy people talking to a chicken! A CHICKEN! "Bawk Bgagck Bawk!" Cadenza clucked flapping her wings once again. "She says this was Castor's doing." I looked at her. "Wait whose 'Castor'?-" Aphmau was cut off by someone hitting her head and knocking her out. "H-hey!" I got knocked out too.

Aphmau groaned as she began to wake up "Ugh why do I always get knocked out- Wait where am I? Who are you?!" she asked frantically looking around. "Who am I? Who are you!" a man dressed rather... weirdly repeated. I had woken up a bit later then Aphmau "Nya? What the-" I struggled to pick myself up off the ground. "I'm Aphmau I- I was looking for THAT READ CHICKEN THERE- *ehem* actually" Aph said as I looked over to Castor and Cadenza. "This red chicken? Is this why you disturbed my people?" Aph looked around and asked if the chickens were his people. "YES of course! Why did you dare to steal my beloved Credenza?" he questioned as Cadenza Pecked him for getting her name wrong. "Cadenza-" he corrected himself. As I gradually stood up properly I listen as Aphmau explains the situation to Castor which in turn he explains that Cadenza turning into a chicken accidentally was his fault. "She's a princess I tell you! Even as a human I know this to be true!" Castor said. 'Huh where did that part come from?' I looked confused still slowly inching towards Cadenza without Castor noticing. "Psst Denza you doing okay there?" I whispered to her. "As great as a chicken could be I guess." She clucked. I had sat down beside her letting Aphmau and castor talk stuff out. "You need a cure to unbiggen large animals like an overgrowth I see." Castor said. "Yes" Aph cut off. "This is going to be tricky, but I know how to make it. It will require a bit of time if I do this AND I will need something in return." Castor walked up to Aphmau. "I- I don't have any money-" She gets cut off this time. "My people need homes, and I am very busy being the king of chickens, but taking care of them has not given me any time to build them homes in which to live in." Castor explained to Aphmau. "Now if you will be so kind. *IF* you want this potion then you *WILL* be so kind to look in that chest above you" Aphmau looked around. "This one?" She asked. "Mhm yes that one, All the supplies to build the homes for my people. Now once I have a village set for my people I can truly be king of the chickens" he said proudly. "Okay if I make homes for these chickens uhm then I can go ahead and get that potion from you right?" Aph clarified. "Im getting bored by this." I looked over to Cadenza. "Have you met with Laurance yet?" she asked me "Oh yeah sort of I guess... Love what you did to his hair!" I snickered. "I know but he had the gall to call it ugly! geez" I smiled looking back to Aph and Castor. "What about Cadenza? You know what never mind" she said deciding not to push her luck as she got the building materials and went out to make chicken houses.

I had followed Aphmau outside after talking with cadenza and Castor for a bit seeing her off to the side feeding Thorgi some chicken made me giggle. "Hello Lady Aphmeow would you mind if I helped you?" I asked her. "Oh no problem!" she said giving me some wood. 'Okay I might be a bit mean here but hey! I'm not about to give myself the title of 'Terrible chicken house builder like Aph! I'd never hear the end of it...' I thought whilst building a regular villager house but scaled down for chickens. I had stood on top of the house I made wanting to put a little flower on top when I sad castor berating Aph for her terrible chicken house building. 'Okay so it may not be the prettiest' I thought looking at Aph's house. "Why don't you make a new one? Your house is okay at least Mei." Castor said with Aphmau already going inside his house for more supplies. As I looked at Aph re-building a chicken house for the 2nd time I kinda felt bad, 'I kinda liked the 2nd chicken house though...' I thought looking at Castor's version of a 'Beautiful chicken house fit for even a chicken king' As Castor was ushering us out Aphmau had offered him the 'Fire resistance potion' Sasha had given her. "That's not a fire resistance potion, that a potent poison. One that would kill a human in an instant and gigantify animals." He explained to us what it did. "But how could Sasha- she must have mixed it wrong" Aph grumbled as she put the potion away. "What? No... Sasha she's... she's supposed to be dead?" he stated. I had zoned out during this time already knowing the information so I had waited till Aphmau and Castor were done talking. "Mei, Lets head back and tell Cadenza's father that she's alright!" Aph ushered me.
