How has studies been?

My brother told me you are the new senior prefect."

"School has been fine dad.
I will resume as the senior prefect post fully next term."

"Okay.." He paused looking away from his papers.

"I spoke with your Mum.
Our quarrels made me realise that I barely pay attention to you nowadays.
Your mum tells me how bad you feel.."

"Bad?
I felt really terrible.
Sometimes,I felt it was all good and I could take care of myself.
I thought having mum's attention and care was enough.

But it wasn't,I am an inexperienced teenage boy,dad.
I still need a father figure to guide me towards the right steps to a bright future." I cutted off.

"I understand you boy.
That is why I decided to take a month off to spend the long vacation with you and my wife.
I want you to know that no matter what happens I would always put those that I love first before any other thing.

I felt that you are grown enough to take care of yourself." He defended.

"I really missed the time we play games together.

There were times I took wrong decisions because my father who is supposed to correct me is always busy with his business.

You hardly call me or visit me when I go back to school.

I couldn't even have boys talk with you.
It felt embarrassing telling mum about my wet dreams." We chuckled.

"I am so sorry son.
I promise to right all my wrongs.
We will go back to the way we were, I can't go back to the past but we can make new beautiful memories with the present and future."

" It's okay dad,It feels like a dream that we can finally discuss without you being interrupted by work." I smiled.

"How about we go play basketball?
I am seriously going to whip your ass." he grinned.

"Like old times?
That's no longer possible Dad,I am going to win you this time." I whined.
