The Prophesy

CHAPTER 3 : IS IT REALLY THE CEPHAS COLONY?

Finally , Elder Klaide spoke saying " It's the prophecy ".

Alarmed, he sat up straighter on his throne . Green eyes wide and tail twitching ." The Prophecy? What about it ? " he asked .
" Is there a cause for alarm ".
Silence.
Neptune, these Kries are making me nervous.
"Well , we'll say there is and there isn't " Elder Sadie finally said .
" Could you elaborate " the King said finally after a full five minutes.
"From what we've all gathered , Your Majesty, our Queen is heavy with the snake child of the Prophecy. "
Oh No !" No , I'm sure you've all gotten the wrong information, how sure are you all anyways ? Why the Cephas Colony of all the water colonies , talk less of all the snake colonies in the Krie world ? he countered.
" Your Majesty, you know we never say anything we're not sure of , as it's one of our founding rules to speak the truth and nothing else. A rule you know all too well." Elder Miraz said blue eyes icy . " And I think I speak everyone's mind here , if I say you've highly insulted us "
"No ,no , Elders it's not like that . I -----"
"Say no more my King, I understand your reaction as a parent. "Elder Shirlyn smiled at him .
" Thank you " he forced a smile in her direction.
"Now to answer your question, my King -----"
"Wait ! Elder Miraz " he interrupted. "I heard that some Queen's of the other colonies too are with child, SO WHY MY WIFE !?"
"I was coming to that my King " he replied ." As you know, it's only water colonies that have Draco males and Vipera or Serpens females, right ? ".
"Yes " the King replied warily . Having a sinking feeling in his gut while wondering what the hell Elder Miraz was getting at now.
"So that rules out the fire and earth colonies " . He continued ." And based on our findings , it's only our Queen out all of all the water colonies that's a Vipera , the rest are Serpens ,and that obviously aligns with the Prophecy, yes Your Majesty?".
Oh No.This can't be true . No , no ,no ,this can't be happening .
" And it also makes sense that the Heiress is the unborn child because our Colony is the most powerful water Colony seeing that we rule over the colonies . " Elder Ker concurred.
"Also, we are very sure the Queen is due tomorrow because the first part is meant to happen exactly a thousand years after it was seen and written right ?".
"Yes " they all agreed .
"And today, is the day before the Prophecy completes a thousand years, making tomorrow , the 1000th year since then " he continued " And as we speak , I've gotten word that the Dark Queen is in labour ".
"What " exclaimed the king , jaw dropping open in shock .
" And if she gives birth tomorrow, our suspicions will be confirmed " Elder Ler said evenly .
" No " the King roared ." I won't allow my daughter face such a cruel fate".
"Cruel destiny ?". The Elders all echoed .
"Yes , cruel destiny" . He continued vehemtly ." Bonding with a wolf, those annoying land-lubbers ? Saving the world , when she comes of age , which is 18 years old ".
" How the hell do you think an 18 year old will do that huh ? He asked angrily .
" Neptune, at that age I was barely finding my footing " he hissed, eyes dilating and scales popping out on his skin as he shapeshifted from the force of his anger .
"Mind your language in front of the Elders , Your Majesty " Elder Shmal said annoyed ." Don't forget the Council of Elders are your predecessors "
" I don't give a damn about whatever you have left to sssssssay " he hissed angrily." But what I know is I AM NOT LETTING MY DAUGHTER FACE THAT FATE !!!".

I'm really sorry for not updating for a while now . I've been crazy busy.
But I'll be updating 2 chapters to make up for the lost time . And I changed the title of my story from Descendant of Lithos to Snake Girl.
