We were just kids

Bad luck.

It's about 12 am at Nino's house and surprisingly everyone is still awake. Nino and Adrien were playing video games on the floor while Alya and Marinette laid on his bed actually doing work. Even though they were doing two different topics they were easily able to help each other out.

Marinette's phone starts beeping, she looks at her phone and you can visibly see her cheeks start getting redder, Alya being Alya leans into Marinette's phone and laughs.

"You can't just stare at the message girl, Text him back!."Alya nudged Marinette which broke her daze and she texted back.

"Sorry, I just know how excited Luka is about the contest Friday. I just can't help it."Marinette laughs still blushing a lil. Adrien dozed off into the game first pressing random buttons, and listening to Marinette's conversation.

"Contest?"Adrien said looking back to the girls, Marinette nodded . "yeah there's a music contest Friday, I'm surprised Nino didn't say anything as he's also gonna be there" She said.

"I almost forgot about that! I hope Luka remembers to bring my speaker he borrowed."Nino laughed.

Friday comes, and Luka and Nino get their turn on the stage as everyone else who was competing. While votes are happening with the judges everyone takes food and water breaks. Alya's in a corner teasing Nino while Marinette and Luka are talking on another side of the room. Adrien was talking to Lila during this time but when he saw Marinette he rushed over to her with Lila following.

"hey guys, Luka you did well out there," Adrien said trying to take his gaze off Marinette as he was starting to blush again a little. The boys eventually start having a conversation about their lives and what they do but both girls could care less about what they had to say. Since Lila and Marinette didn't like each other they just scrolled through their phones till one of the boys noticed them.

"Marinette, oh, and you too Lila. We'll be right back."Adrien said walking away with Luka. As Marinette was gonna walk away from Lila and head to Alya Lila pulled her back.

"I gotta talk to you Marinette," Lila said it wasn't in her usual tone, however.

"you didn't see the way he looked at you?"Lila said

"well he's my boyfriend-"

"no not Luka, Adrien Marinette."

"what about him?"

"Marinette are you stupid? I'm talking about Adrien. He likes you!"

"Adrien? He doesn't like me?"

"Seems your too stupid to realize. Well, I don't care, ill make him fall out of love with you, let me warn you Marinette. If you fall in love with him ill ruin your life."Lila said, before Marinette could think of what to say back Lila was already gone. The boys came back to where Marinette was and Luka kissed her on the lips. So much was happening she couldn't even close her eyes, all she could focus on was Adrien rolling his eyes behind Luka.

Nino wins the contest in the end. Everyone says their goodbyes to each other and heads on their way. Luka walks Marinette home, however. They finally get to Marinette's room and lay down facing each other.

"Sooo, what were you and Adrien talking about."

"Nothing much, just talking about girlfriends and stuff."

"girlfriends?? Adrien has a girlfriend??"

"he said he's talking to someone, doesn't like her much but his dad loves the girl."
