Umbrella

Today was a half day at school, not a lot of kids showed up. Adrien could only really remember his best friends around him this morning. He has other stuff on his mind though.

What was he gonna say to Marinette?
Did he really wanna ask her out after she said all that to misterbug? The thought of Nino being right messed with his head. What if Marinette does tell Adrien a different story?

He asked to go the bathroom but really just went outside to the front and leaned against the wall, he just stood there and cried, he didn't know whether he was scared or sad.

But then again he needs to calm down, Marinette would Never like an idiot like him. He ruined her relationship, he talked too much, he'd end up hurting her. But, it hurts to lie and say he didn't have feelings for her.

Rain starts pouring down heavy. Why does it rain so much? Where the hell is his bodyguard? At the same time, he was kinda thankful for the rain, at least anybody leaving the school wouldn't realize he's crying.

He leaned on the wall pushing his wet hair behind his ears, no matter what he did it just fell covering his eyes again, no matter what he did he was Never good enough.

"Adrien?"

His hair still clinging to his face, he pushed it behind his ears once more which ended up with his hair clinging to his eyes. Blinded still something felt different, the rain suddenly had stopped. He held his hair up with his hands and it was Marinette.

"Adrien, are you crying?"Marinette whispered. She was holding an umbrella above their heads.  After everything she told Misterbug Marinette still cared about Adrien and it breaks his heart knowing that. He didn't want to face Nino again not being in a relationship. He had to ask her out.

"What, I'm not crying it's just the rain," Adrien said wiping his face, Marinette, using her right hand to hold the umbrella used her left to touch Adrien's cheek, she laughed at him.

"Really? Your face is red and your eyes are puffy."

"It's uhm, just allergies." he said looking away, was it that obvious he was crying? Forget that, he still had to ask her out.

Why was it so hard? She's right in front of him. Just do it.

Adrien grabs the umbrella, also holding onto Marinette's, he stares at her and she looks back at him red and confused. His heart wouldn't stop pounding.

"Marinette, Will you be my girlfriend?"
She froze, a smile grew on her face and she softly chuckled

"Sorry I know after everything that's happened you wouldn't-" he was quickly shushed by Marinette's finger covering his mouth, her face was a peach color as she still smiled

"Yes." Adrien couldn't help but smile too. He was quickly pulled into a hug, a warm hug. You could hear Marinette faintly crying on Adrien's shoulder, most likely from the excitement . it sounded familiar, he'd heard this cry before.

"Marinette, you remind me of someone I met when I was little, My mom used to tell me about her and now that I think about it, You're so much like her."Adrien said making Marinette's head propped up on his shoulder, she kept the hug going so she wouldn't have to show her face.
