23. Hospital and Husband

...Samaira...

The party was phenomenal. Everyone enjoyed. We were still at the venue packing it up when I saw a pillar trembling down and Araa was standing exactly in front of it. I rushed towards her and pushed her ahead and within 2 seconds everything went black.

....Zachary....

Red, Red and Red was the only colour visible after the pillar trembled down at Samaira, we rushed her to the hospital. We all were worried sick, the surgery went long and it was quite late so I sent everyone home and decided to stay there as I had signed as the authority for Samaira, Early next morning the doctor declared that she was out of danger and at the same time everyone was here so I did the best thing I knew I left that place because somewhere or the other I knew it was my past haunting again....

I got back conscious around one hour ago and had met all my friends and relatives waiting but I was still waiting for someone. Someone I knew was with me through all this.

Then the nurse came for the regular check up.

"Ma'am, your husband loves you a lot." she commented.

"Excuse me" I said.

"Yes, he stayed up all night and almost killed the doctor when they said they were leaving hope. He was here the whole time holding your hand. You are indeed lucky."

With that she was about to leave when I stopped her and asked her if I could check the documents. I really wanted to know who was my husband, the scribbly handwriting transformed my doubt into confidence. I was smiling when Araa entered my room.

"Finally my sister is here."

I knew she was out since the morning but I also knew that she was guilty as she thought it was because of her I was here.

" I am so...." she was about to complete when I did the honours

"Sorry, I know so save it. And anyway tell me why is your husband working out in the hospital." I said lightening the mood

"Well he is trying to track your supposedly authorized husband." She said

"We couldn't find him since you got up."

"I know where he is." I stated.

Thanks to Zach I was discharged early and so I drove to the place I knew I could find the idiot. I opened my door and got out the car thanking Araa for getting me there. I walked up to the sea side and made noise on the wooden platform with my heels. I know I shouldn't be wearing one.

Hearing the noise, he turned around and stood up in shock.

"What the hell Samaira, you are supposed to be in the hospital."

"And you are supposed to be there besides me."

"Samaira look I made myself clear 4 years ago."

"Clear my ass. You know what I think, you never loved me. You lied to me. You are a damn lier."

"What?" he shouted

"Yes you lied to me, wasn't I even worth an explanation. You just left me. I loved you dimwit. I fucking loved you. Everyone knew that I had walls all around me but you just broke down the walls and then you broke me. What you left me with? ohh, the great letter. Couldn't you even face me. Was I that worthless. These four years. I have cried myself to sleep every night thinking what went wrong while you were busy inaugurating your hotels. I died everyday and if you wanted me to die then why the hell were you besides me the whole freaking last night holding my hand. You could have left me there to die because according to that's all I deserve Right." until now I was in sobs, clutching his shirt.

"Why Zach Why?"I left him and fell on the ground but he was quick enough to soften the harshness of the fall.

He sat next to me and held me tight yet softly rocking both of us back and forth.

"I was blackmailed, you remember when I went Austria, I used to receive threats to stay away from you or they would harm you, I never faced you because I knew I would melt down at one look and couldn't do it. I couldn't loose you, you were all I had. I always loved you. I could have jumped the tallest building rather than letting anyone harm you. seeing you after so long was just what I had expected. I wanted to come back I wanted you to know but then again the mishap last night. I just couldn't let you go. Jeena needed you, Araa needed you , your parents, your friends needed you.I needed you."

After that I got up with Zach hot on his heels.

"You know what Mr. Zachary Herrington. You think you are some Prince in Shinning armani and that you can save me from everything. But what you don't know is I never cared about it all I cared about was being with you. You think , I will die if I am with you but the truth is I died everyday because I wasn't with you. Now if you think you are that great then you can just Fuck off for all I care. Because this time I am doing choosing part and I am choosing to let go."

with that said I handed him the heart locket he had gifted me and walked back to the car where Araa was waiting for me. As soon as I entered the car I broke down. I cried for whatever I lost. For whatever I had.
