Saturday
This weekend at Krodi's, ace a school English project and get a free mechanical pencil on the house, only at Krodi's.
Save more. Live less.
Krodi's!
Dad grabs the cart while Mom and I are blasted by the HVAC system over the sliding doors. I hate it when it's blasting hot or cold air because it ruins my hair. I fix my spikes, shake the dust from my shoulders, stretch my legs. In about a minute, I'll get the green light to go. I can go now if I want, but I like to wait, ease into it.
"Have the list, right?" Dad asks Mom.
"A what? No. I don't need a list," she says.
I've been debating if this should be a new game or not, counting how many items my parents forget without a list.
"Go look around," Mom says.
We're an aisle in, and the green light flashes.
1. Mechanical pencil.
Alright, me, to the stationery aisle!
My Krodi's adventure starts in my favorite aisle in the entire store. You name it, it's here, pencils, mechanical pencils, markers, pens.
I gasp. "Ooh!"
Rainbow highlighters! These are new!
"What do I have to highlight, though?"
Just because you don't have a use for something now, it doesn't mean you shouldn't get it, right?
"Dad only said a mechanical pencil."
Does Mom know?
"Hm..."
I'll make it easy for them. I won't pick the most expensive one I find on the shelf. I'll choose...
"Hm..."
So many. I...
"Ooh! Stainless steel!"
Stainless steel 0.9mm with a rubber grip!
"Yes!"
The one!
