Chapter 10- Visit

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

The doorbell of my house is ringing non-stop. I half opened my eyes, feeling irritated by the sound of the continuous ringing. Who else could be as irritating as Ron? I ignored the ringing and covered my ears with the cushion.

The door knob clicked, and I knew Ron had opened my front door.

Growling, I stood up and threw the cushion toward the door.

"How many times must I tell you to stop taking my key under the carpet to enter the house without permiss-" I shouted at Ron.

"Woah woah chill girl. Calm your tits. Look who's here." Ron flashed a coy smile and wiggled his eyebrows playfully.

I looked over Ron's shoulder as a guy stepped into my house. The familiar crystal blue eyes met my dark brown ones.

Oh. My. God. I stared with my mouth opened, flushing madly.

Suddenly, Ron bursted out laughing and walked toward me.

"Alright I'll leave you two alone. And that's your assignments for today." Ron smirked as he placed the worksheets on my table.

"And you looked horrible by the way." He added, whispering in my ears, before walking back to the door.

He mumbled something in Richard's ears, which I could not make out what was it because they were a distance away from me. Ron then turned for the door and left me and Richard standing awkwardly in the living room.

"Erm... Have a seat." I said shyly as I tucked my fringe behind my ears and put away the bag of empty Lays bag.

"Thank you." Richard smiled at me as he made his way to my sofa.

I sat on the sofa opposite him and then checked my outfit consciously, hoping that I looked presentable in front of him.

"Erm... About yesterday.. " Richard started.

So his purpose of coming is to explain himself about yesterday.

"What about it?" I interrupted, trying very hard to hold back my tears as memories of last night came rushing into my mind.

"I'm here to apologize on behalf of Dayah. It was all a prank that she came up with. Dayah told me everything this morning and I made her promised not to prank on you again. If she ever does things like that again, you can always look for me. You have my back." Richard explained and reassured.

After hearing him out, I finally understood the truth. Part of me felt relieved because Richard didn't prank me, while another part of me felt disappointed because he did not have the intention to ask me out.

"Thank you for telling me the truth and I appreciate you for coming all the way here to explain everything to me. But I guess Dayah should be responsible for her childish actions. Why are you apologizing on behalf on her? Shouldn't she be the one apologizing instead? Are you her mother?" I stated-in-a-matter-of-fact.

"Well, I'm her...erm...boyfriend?" Richard hesitated.

I froze. My heart shattered into pieces and it hurted a lot. I cringed in my seat and I could feel his eyes on me observing my actions the whole time.

I recomposed myself quickly and trying to hide my emotions the best way I could.

"Err...thank you for coming once again. I think you should make your move now as I need to get going with my assignments." I said with a forceful smile while walking toward the door and opening it for him.

"Well...okay I hope to see you in school tomorrow. Sorry once again, and goodbye." He said emotionlessly and left without another word.

I closed the door behind me and leaned my back against it. Sliding down, I brought my knees closer to my chest as tears streamed down my cheeks.
