Over the last three months, Sam had been grieving for Jessie and going to the hospital to be with Abigail. Jessie had been cremated. Her ashes were on a glass shelf in Sam's living room. Abigail was doing much better. Sam was aloud to hold her outside of the incubator. He would see her daily read her stories and talk to her.

Sam had just gotten to the baby nursery.

"Hey you." He said happily when he saw her: "Can I pick her up?" He asked looking at a nurse.

"Yes." "It's time for her breakfast."

Sam picked her up. "There's daddy's Abby." She smiled. The nurse brought him a bottle. "Here's your breakfast."

Five minutes later the doctor came in.

"I have good news." The doctor said. "Abigail can go home next week."

"That's great."

"That little one is a fighter."

"It's in her blood." The doctor walked away. Sam looked down at Abigail. "Did you hear that?" "You get to come home." "Daddy is so happy." "Mommy would be to."

A week later Sam walked through the front door carrying Abigail in her car seat.

"We're home finally." Sam said. As he took her out of her car set she was smiling. "I know you're happy to be home." "You have mommy's smile."

Later that night Sam had just given Abigail a bath. He was putting her in her pajamas. She yawned.

"Daddy knows you're tired." Sam said. "Daddy's tired to." "It's almost time for bed."

After putting Abigail down for the night Sam went to bed. He wished and hoped Jessie could be with them, but was happy Jessie got what she wanted. For Abigail to be alright.
