𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 ice cold pressed against Zae's cheek. Against her body.

The girl lying down, fought to figure out where she was. All she knew for the moment was that she had fell asleep somewhere. Ofcourse. She could just open her eyes.

With her black eyes, exposed to the trees, the freckled girl sat up, unaware that her left cheek was stained dark green of the moss she slept on - so were her clothes.

Zae couldn't remember when she fell asleep. The last thing she remembered was walking.

But she must've slept a long time. The nature was the same color as her eyes. Or, that's the sky. The trees. They were shining. Bright blue, they lit Zae's black pearl-eyes up to a warm turqouise color. Warm. Blood is warm. Blood. Blood. Stop that.

A tiny part of her wanted to swirl around or maybe just sit and stare at the bright color - no. A mass murderer shouldn't feel like like a princess from a fairytale. That's Octavia's thing.

Zae looked around, scanning her surroundings. It was gonna be a long way back to the dropship.

It was still pitch black outside. Still, it wasn't completely dark. But it wasn't the trees that lit up her vision. It was the soon to be put out campfire in front of the dropship. It must've been at least one more hour since she started following her footsteps she had made in the moss.

But the camp looked a little different now. Tents had been set up around the dropship - filled with most of the teenagers. Zae shook her head, feeling a weak regret for running away from camp. The consequence; no tent. Glancing at the large metal dropship, she sighed, having to sleep on the hard metal floor.

But Zae had no idea why Bellamy Blake dragged Wells Jaha out to the middle of nowhere. But it was weird. Too weird. Reluctant and even a little creeped out, the freckled girl followed them.

She was multiple meters away from the two guys, walking next to each other but still somehow managed to keep track of them.

Eventually Jaha and the guard - Blake, she reminded herself - were at the edge of a large hill, Zae staying back at the beginning of the forest, hiding behind a few bushes. Blake said something to Jaha, which Zae couldn't hear.

Fuck it.

The freckled girl tip-toed, being as quiet as she could. She stood at the edge of the forest, if one of the two guys turned around maybe they would see her. She couldn't know for sure.

"... Take off that wristband and you'll be amazed at how good it feels!"

Trying to get the chancellor's son to take of his wristband - which Zae had figured out was important, probably used by the Ark to see if they're alive. But Blake had no chance in convincing Jaha that.

"No", was Jaha's reply. "Never. Not gonna happen, is that clear enough for you?"

Zae froze for a second. Blake was holding a gun. Wasn't really a reason for Jaha to take off his wristband, was it?
