𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐬 ship had crashed, resulting in what had looked like an explosion, and everyone in it were dead. She'd been too distracted to even notice the crash last night.

But yet, she was still with Clarke, Raven, Finn, Blake and other delinquents inspecting it. It turned out that her leg actually wasn't that bad after Clarke took out the arrow and had treated it. She could walk with a limp, with just a little bit of pain in her leg, but she'd been told that it would be fine in just a few days.

The skin under her eye had swollen a bit, having purple-blue lines spread on a light violet-like surface. Everyone had seen it, but it was probably few who knew why she had it. Maybe they'd assumed it was Blake, or a grounder.

Suddenly, Raven snuck up on her in the fire.

"Well, that looks amazing", she joked, not only reflecting at her swollen eye, but also the first thing she ever said to her.

The freckled girl turned around, facing the ponytailed girl. It somehow felt embarrassing, knowing that she'd had a traumatic breakdown in front of her a few days ago. But she was the only one who understood how much it affected her.

"What exactly did you mean by that grounder being your ... aunt?"

Zae sighed. Ofcourse. For now, Raven just thought she was a delusional psycho, as Blake had called her the same night she was attacked.

She just wanted to turn back around, to continue inspecting the Exodus ship that Clarke's mother allegedly was on. But Raven wouldn't budge so easily.

"She's my mother's sister", the younger girl replied, before she realized that that was the dumbest reply she'd ever given. No shit, it's her mother's sister. "She was sent down sixteen years ago, because she was the first second child and the council didn't know what to do with her. She was ten."

Raven was stunned in shock. Second child. Wow.

Zae turned away, - not wanting to show her bruise too much - walking further into the burned wreck.

There were actually body parts, skulls and burned bones close to everywhere. It was uncomfortable to see it. Suddenly she noticed a familiar weapon in the middle of a wreck. Her eyes widened, staring down at the stick-looking thing in fear.

A shock baton.

Even though she didn't want to, the freckled girl carefully grabbed it by its handle for the first time ever since she'd commit her crime. She wanted to see if it worked or not. She pressed the button that Blake had pressed a thousand times, to see a small wave of electricity flow through it, hearing a little 'zoom'. It was still working.

She swallowed, remembering the familiar pain she had to feel almost every day. She quickly dropped the baton, looking around, hoping that nobody saw her with the weapon.

But then Zae's eyes landed on someone, whose eyes were already on her. Ofcourse, Blake was glaring at her again, never really seeming to take a break. She immediately looked back, to stare down at the burned ground. She threw the shock baton away, not wanting to take another look at it again.
