The last thing I remember was what felt like falling out of the sky but then I woke up in a hospital bed.

" Hi," I see Sarah smiling at me.

" Hi. Where am I?" I asked.

" St. Olive's. You fell from the Hawk's nest. You have a concussion and a broken wrist." she explains.

I look at my wrist that now has a cast on it.

" Pretty cool." she smiled.

" I need to get out of here, DCS is gonna find me." I move up so that I am now sitting up on the hospital bed.

I see Ward come into the room and say, " Hang on there, kid. Hang on." he said while walking towards me. " Sarah told me everything. About your little adventure, about you and Ocean running from the DCS, about how you were protecting her in the tower. John, I believe I owe you an apology. You were honest with me about a small indiscretion, and I went and fired you anyways. And I shouldn't have. Unfortunately, from time to time, I have a bit of a short fuse. Ask her." Ward looks at Sarah.

" It's true. " She chuckled.

" I'd like to make up for it if you'll let me. I spoke with Sheriff Peterkin, and I've offered to be your and Ocean's legal guardian If you guys would let me. I know Ocean and Rafe are on bad terms but I would make sure nothing would happen." Ward implied.

" What?" I chuckled.

"It'd mean a roof over your heads and no more runnin' from the DCS." He added.

I looked at Sarah I was shocked at the offer I'm definitely going to have to talk to Ocean about this somehow.

" Sure, yeah Uh, sounds good." I was surprised.

" Okay, then, it's settled." He smiled. " Welcome to the family.

We finally left the hospital and headed to the Camerons' House. Ward welcomed me "home" and as I walk in Sarah shows me the way to my room. I was in awe with how nice the room was but I just don't think Ocean would want to be here, especially with everything she went through with Rafe, but I decided to tell her the news when I head to the wreck.

OCEAN ROUTLEDGE

" I'm sorry. You're staying where?" Kie walks passed my brother.

" Tannyhill." he said with no hesitation.

" So you're living with Sarah Cameron." she implied.

" What the hell John B, you're staying at the Camerons?" I looked at him.

" Ward said that we would become our legal guardian and honestly don't you think that is better than foster care?" he turned to me. " Which, by the way, is where we would be if Ward didn't-"

" Trust me John B I get it but I am not going to the Camerons' House with you. You have all the fun in the world but I am not doing it." I replied.

" Hey, so do you have a membership to the clubs now?" Pope said trying to break the tension.

" I don't know, Pope." He said.

" What about those golf carts they drive around? You get one of them?" Harper asked. " Does it come with a sweater vest, or do you have to buy one on your own?"

" Look, you promised. You said you weren't with her." Kie looked at John B.

" Bro. just own it. She got you." JJ added.
