The Will of a God. [LMK AU/God!AU]

Chapter 4: A deathly surprise.

(Everything is in 3rd person except for flashbacks.)


"--And then he came and told me how i was a God and how i have his powers and then he let me lift the staff and then--" MK ranted, as his best friend Mei, listened to him rant about how he suddenly got these new powers. "So...you think you're....a god?" Mei asked. "Not think, know! I always knew something was different! I always felt kind of-- just kind of....unbelonging, if that makes sense." MK said, scratching his head. "No i...get what you mean." Mei responded, sighing. "Uhm...Did you tell your dads about this?" Mei asked. "Oh- yeah pigsy's a little angry and worried about it, but Tang won't stop asking me questions about the Monkey king..-" MK chuckled. "Great..!" Mei said, sounding like she was a little worried. 

"Uh..Hey? What's wrong? Is there something you want to tell me?" MK asked. Mei looked around. "...Yes, actually." Mei said, taking MK's hand and dragging him from out of the park they were in. She took them to the forest to get a little more far. 

"Look, MK. There's....something i haven't told you yet." Mei said nervously. "What is it..?" MK asked. "Well i'm--....I'm a God." Mei said, as she looked at MK nervously. "..Ohhhhhh, you're pranking me- You got me there for a sec, Mei!" MK said with a laugh, but was only met with silence, as Mei closed her eyes, and glowed green. She grew a pair of green horns made of energy, and a pair of wings and a long, slithery dragon tail. Her skin grew scales, and her teeth grew sharper, and so did her eyes. She opened her eyes, revealing her slit pupils and green eyes. 

"I am, a God." Mei said once more. "But- hey! At least i'm not the only god here..!!" She said in an up lifitng tone. She looked nervous as MK looked at her jaw dropped. "You----You're an actual god?! Why did you keep this from me?!" MK asked, stars in his eyes as he shook her. "Well i promised my grandfather i wouldn't show myself while he let me attend school down at the mortal realm with you..-" Mei started, until MK started inspecting her tail and wings, and getting all excited. "You're not mad?" Mei asked, growing happy. 

"Of course not! I mean i'm a little hurt you didn't trust me enough to tell me but overall this is awesome! I mean as you said, at least you won't be the only god!" MK said happily. "Awe! Thank you MK! I knew you'd understand!" Mei said happily, as he hugged Mei, and Mei hugged back. "Can you travel to the celestial realm? Which dragon gods are your parents? Which realm do you live in? Did you know the monkey king growing up??" MK repeatedly asked so many questions, as Mei could barely comprehend on answering them all. 

Soon enough, it got darker in the forest, the breeze blew through the trees, covering up the Sun. As the two talked and hyper fixated on gods and cool abilities, it grew cold. "Eugh..It's kind of cold here don't ya think?" MK asked, shivering. Mei was unbothered, though. As she seemed a bit more...serious. She stood protectively over MK, holding out an arm and growling deeply. 

"Look at that, the two little godlings out in the forest....finding out dragon girl's little secret huh, bud?" Said a voice, looming around the shadows. "...Monkey king?" MK asked, as Mei darted her eyes around. "Nope! But i do know the infamous Monkey king...~" said the voice. "I can sense your energy. It's dark.." Mei said out to the voice. "Well, it is naturally like that. Can't really help it, y'know?" said the voice again, in a teasing tone. 

A face in the shadows near the trees, a purple glowing X shape, and a glowing eye, and a creepy glowing mouth, all glowing purple. A laugh echoed throughout the shadows, and Mei shot out green fire from her mouth at the direction of the face, the fire diminishing and the face being gone. Mei and MK still stood their ground. "Whoa ho ho! Someone's feisty. Your good ol' grandfather isn't much like that, y'know...I mean i don't gotta tell ya that, you live with the guy, right?" The voice laughed, as MK's shadow wore the same face from before. 

MK gasped and leaped back. "Who are you?!" MK yelped, and the shadow arose, showing a tall, 6'2 or 6'1 figure. Mei growled and stood in front of MK, summoning a sharp, small-ish emerald sword. "MK. Stay back. This guy is bad news.." Mei said as the shadowy figure chuckled. "Who is he?" MK asked, staring up at him. "The six eared Macaque, God of death." She answered.

"The one and only~"
