The Will of a God. [LMK AU/God!AU]

Chapter 2: The Staff.

(Everything is in 3rd Person. Except for Flashbacks. ;])

He went deeper into the forest, and the monkeys followed. The mist was alluring, as he kept following it. He kept going as the monkeys ran ahead of him, and he approached a cave in a mountain. He was too deep in to turn back now. He went in, and walked and walked, as messages appeared on the wall. He stopped to read them. "Here the mythical power of the monkey would be sealed, taken out when the world needed it most. Once you make the connection, you can not go back on your destiny." MK read outloud. "The mythical power of the monkey..?" MK wondered. As he followed the smoke, gold lines would write across the wall, showing pictures and telling a story of a young monkey going on adventures, and winning fights, and protecting others, and messing with the other gods. 

MK was amazed, as he followed the mist deeper, looking at the writing and pictures. It was mesmerizing to him. He went deeper in the cave until he then encountered a red stick with a golden end stabbed into the ground. He recognized the staff immediately from the legends and books...It was Sun Wukong's staff!! He felt himself getting subconsciously closer to it, his heart pumping with anticipation. Everything was telling him to take it. 

Whispers filled his head...The mist swirled around the staff and MK..Something was telling him not to take it. His intuition, maybe. "This is so weird...but cool at the same time.." He said. But before he thought twice, his hand grabbed it. And a surge of familiar energy rushed through his body, like he was meant to do that. 

His eyes glowed bright, and a golden image of monkey ears and a tail, and some big wings and a circlet all made of light would appear on him before fading away. He gasped, and while trying to let go of the staff, he pulled it out. The second he did, he found himself in the forest again. "What the heeckkkkk..???" MK said to himself. 

He was in front of a Sun Wukong statue that was put out way deeper in the forest. "A-A wukong statue..?" MK said to himself again. It was dark, the only thing emitting light was MK, as his eyes were glowing gold uncontrollably. "Wh- What's going onnnnn???" He said in panic, as he frantically looked around. 

The mist swirled around the trees, and monkeys watched from the darkness, their eyes glowing gold. It was getting really misty at this point, and MK was on the verge of having a panic attack. Suddenly, he saw a vision of the Monkey king as a gold light appear. The light would smile, and float around him. "W-Who are you?! Stay back.." MK warned. The vision laughed, it's laugh echoed as it kept disappearing and reappearing, leading MK to the statue. MK felt like he had to follow. 

He went toward the statue reluctantly, and still holding the staff, another hand grabbed it from behind. This time, not made out of gold light. This hand was real.

"Heya, bud! You finally got it." Said before MK himself, Sun Wukong in the flesh. The great sage, above heaven, The monkey king, God of the seasons, the Sun, and mischief and tricksters. Sun wukong had long fluffy ginger hair, a fluffy tail with a golden ring with a sun crested in it, a yellow chest plate and a long red scarf, black boots, red velvet pants, a thick colored rope around his waist, and some sort of spiky edge, as it was red and blue, with gold outlining. He had a peach colored mask, and black eyeliner, with blue and gold eyeshadow to compliment his golden colored eyes. He had a crown in the shape of a circlet on, and glittery gold markings on his face. He also had swirly markings crested in his neck, although it was kind of hidden with his scarf, you could tell he had a bit of a turtleneck on, which mainly covered his neck markings, but not as well as you'd think. 

MK was stunned, as the Monkey king held the staff and twirled it around. "I've been waiting for you, MK." He said. MK blinked rapidly, thinking this was a dream. It was very real. His eyes widened, and he was nervous. "Are-- Are you the Monkey king?! Great sage above heaven?! The god?!" MK said with amazement in his eyes. "Yeeep, The one and Only!" Monkey king grinned, his tail holding the staff and he put his hands on his hips. "But-- But how-- why-- You-" MK was at a loss for words. "Yeah yeah i know, it's definitely life changing to see a literal god before ya. But i'm here because uh....i'm gonna come clean. I've kinda been watching you." The monkey admitted. "..What???" MK's amazement was overcome with immediate confusion. 

Monkey king laughed, his tail clenching the staff as he wheezed. "Your--Your face is hilarious!-" Monkey king said, before calming down and standing in a chilled position, laying against the staff. "But i'm mostly here to tell you something important. Since you're at the right age..." Monkey king said. MK was confused, yet still dumbfounded a literal god was there in front of him. "I know this is all realllllyyy weird, but...You're going to need to hear this." He started, before setting a hand on MK's shoulder. 

"MK, You're a God."
