Chapter 5: He's your what?!

(Everything is in third person, minus flashbacks.)

The shadow took form, as the tall Six eared monkey twirled its spikey shadow scythe with its fingers. He was tall, had black and red robes robes, with some gold garments to compliment it, and having a black and purple hood that's mix matched with his robes. He pulled his hood down, showing his scarred eye, and six ears. He glamoured the ears away as soon as his hood went down. "Mei~ Been a while!~" Macaque grinned. "Step. Away. MK doesn't have time for whatever scheme you have..." Mei growled, as she got her sword at the ready.

"When have you ever seen me scheme? Or do anything really bad that doesn't that's to do with rumors?~" Macaque rolled his eyes, scoffing as he got closer to MK through the shadows. "So this is who he chose..." Macaque grinned upon inspection. MK was stammering and didn't know how to react, mainly because macaque was bigger than him and he didn't know if he could take him, especially without his training even starting. So he just stood there shaking. "Hey!" Mei yelled, and swung her sword at him. Macaque countered with his tail, and picked up Mei, and threw her to a tree, throwing the sword after her. She hit the tree with her back, and stood up quickly, but gasped as her sword had stabbed just barely above her head, and hit her shirt to the tree. "What the?- Hey! Put me down!!" Mei exclaimed, as Macaque held MK's head. "Definitely a fine one.....But I can tell your soft. Psshh- that won't do you any good.." Macaque teased, as he lifted his chin. 

"I really hope you're not a disappointment~"

"I-" MK started, taken aback and sweating balls from this close interaction. Suddenly, a flash of golden light boomed down to the ground. MK jumped, and Macaque looked back with a bit of surprise. It was the Monkey king. "Uhm, what the heck is going on here? And what are you doing here?" He snarled. "Peaches! Didn't think you'd Ah..find out I was here..." Macaque grinned, a bit nervously, but you could see the mischievous intentions all over his face. "M-Monkey king!" MK exclaimed, getting excited instantly, and zipped over to Wukong. 

"MONKEYKINGPLEASEHELPITHINKHESTRYINGTOKILLMEANDTAKEMYSOUL" MK said quickly, as he hid behind the Monkey king. "..What? No! he's not going to kill you or take your soul." Monkey king even chuckled a little. "He only eats your soul if you're annoying." He shrugged. "THAT DOESNT HELP?!" MK thought. "Well- can- can't you fight him?! im pretty sure he's a threat!!" MK exclaimed. Macaque  rolled his eyes. "..Geez kid, you didn't take me as a judge of character." Sun wukong said with a sigh, and went over to Mei to get her free. "What??? What do you mean??" MK asked quizzically, while also eyeing Macaque up and down frantically. "Macaque isn't a bad guy. Or at least to an extent.."  Wukong said, mumbling the last part. 

"I heard that." Macaque said. "I know!" Wukong responded in a teasing way. "Wait, hes not? but he'd literally the god of DEATH!" Mei said. "Pff- and? i'm also the god of revenge and you dont see me getting back at my enemies.." Wukong rolled his eyes, chuckling. Mei got free and got down. "But all the stories and rumors!" Mei started, running over to Macaque who had an annoyed but calm expression. Wukong went over to Macaque. "-Are all untrue. Except for the soul eating one." Wukong clarified. "Wait he's not a bad guy..?" MK asked. "Cmon, do i look like a bad guy to you?~" Macaque asked, bowing teasingly and grinning. 

"..Yes. Yes you do. and Sound like one." MK responded skeptically. "You walked yourself i to that one." Mei growled. "Okay, rude.." Macaque growled. "Wait how do you know the god of death  Monkey king?" MK asked.

"..Why wouldn't i? I mean, he is my husband." Wukong answered, leaning on Macaque. MK and Mei's jaws dropped. Silence filled the area. "..Wait. WHAT?!" MK was jaw dropped.

"ooookay, MK, meet Macaque. God of death & shadows, and king of the underworld or whatever...Macaque, meet the student I told you about!" Wukong said grinning, putting his hands on his hips. "I- You-...HUH?" Mei responded in shock. "Huh..so how did you two meet?" MK asked. "Why, are we that weird of a pair?" Macaque chuckled. "I mean..you two are basically light and dark!! Why are you together??" Mei said, throwing her hands up. Wukong sighed. "That's a story for another day..." Wukong responded. "WHAT? I WANNA KNOW THE LOVE STORY!!!" MK pleaded. 

"Maybe after we get some training in next time. But anyway, Mac, the council sent me down to tell you to tell you that you've been behind on your duties." Wukong said, looking up at Macaque. "Ugh, I can't have that...then I'd be more behind than you." Macaque laughed a bit. "Wh- ARE YOU INSINUATING I DON'T DO MY JOB?" Wukong said, clearly offended. Macaque, and even Mei gave him a look. He sweat a little and pouted, scoffing. "Okay okay whatever I get your point..just go already!" Wukong sighed. 

"Wait! I wanna do god stuff too! Like you guys!" MK said, feeling a bit left out. Sure, he was new to all this..and honestly still processing it. But...he does everything with Mei. And although her being a god since birth is like a whole new bunch of info for him..He still felt like he needed to be included. I mean, he was a god now too, right?

"Alright kid, sorry for the intrusion. But, i'll see you for training next week." Monkey king winked, as Macaque used his shadow to get behind MK. "Let's see if you're really as good as my idiot husband thinks you are.." He whispered, and then sunk into the shadows. MK gulped. He knew Macaque's words were going to sink in reallll hard. "Alright...- But-" MK called out, but wukong had already flown away, sprouting his majestic wings from his back as he fled the area, wind breezing violently past the two. 

"I gotta go to MK. My grandpa's gonna have another heart attack if I'm gone for too late, and I can already see Monkey king's lowering the Sun...so it's getting late. See you at school though!" Mei said happily, hugging him tight, before she sprouted wings too. "O-Oh- But Mei!- Wait—" Mei had flown off, Mk lost his balance from the excess wind and fell on his butt. He looked up in sadness and thought. "—I wanted...to talk.." He finished, sighing, before sitting up. 

I just want someone to help  me understand....To help me really know who I am..because I Don't know anymore.
