Looking across the table at his parents, Bill gave a sigh. His mother's eyes were red and his father looked disappointed, but that wasn't going to change his mind on this. Shaking his head, he said, keeping his voice soft, "This is too good of an opportunity to pass up. The goblins offered me not only a substantial raise, but I'll be taking on more of a supervisory position. It's a good opportunity for me." And that was no lie. When he approached his boss about going back to Egypt, this had been offered to him. It seemed that several of the more senior workers in Egypt were getting ready to retire so that meant the goblins wanted bodies in place that had experience. He was perfect for it. Though he was going to go back one way or another, this just sweetened the pot.

Nodding slowly, Arthur looked at his son, "I agree. It's worth returning. You need to do what you think is best for your future. This is a good opportunity for you."

"It is," Bill told him firmly. "It'll give us a good nest egg to start out with. Fleur is going to try to get on at the branch down there, something I'm sure she'll manage." Stopping, he looked at his mother and waited.

Having been looking forward to planning a big wedding for her first son getting married, Molly was disappointed. However, she understood the same thing her husband did; this was too good to pass up. With a sigh, she looked at Bill then smiled, "I understand. We can still do something, of course, even with a Ministry wedding. The ones in school—they won't be able to come but I'm sure we can get Charlie and Percy. It'll just be a small family thing for all of us. That's probably better anyway. Less stress on everyone. How long do we have?"

"Fleur and I are planning for next Friday. That way we can Portkey out on Saturday to get settled in one of the Gringotts housing units before I start the following Monday. It's short notice, I know, but they need some bodies, fast."

Though not liking such a small timeframe for a big event like this, Molly's face took on a determined look. Nodding, she said, "Alright. Let me see what we can come up with. It won't be much in the way of a reception, just family and some friends, but I'll come up with something!" After all, though she wouldn't have the big wedding she wanted, she would manage to pull something together. Already, she was thinking over all those she needed to get in contact with to invite. It would be confined to just close family and friends, of course, but there were enough of those that she would have to do some arranging and get some help. Then there were things like getting the house cleaned top to bottom, the yard done, all of it. Oh, she had a lot of work to do!

"What does Fleur have to say about this," Arthur asked. He assumed, from what he saw of the beautiful woman, that there would be no issue, but he was curious.

Giving a genuine smile, Bill said, "As long as we're together, she doesn't care where we are. She made that clear. Right now, she's in France filling her parents in on what's going on. She should be back tomorrow if nothing goes pear-shaped. From there, we'll work with it. We both have a lot to do to get ready to go." Actually, he was relieved. This was a far better reaction than he expected. There were tears from his mum, of course, that came with the territory, but they understood. It was perfect. Now he could get out before the worst hit and wouldn't be drawn into what he was more and more convinced was the losing side of this war. No, he wasn't going to try to convince his mother or father that they were backing the wrong horse in the race, but at least he was out. He just hoped that the rest of his family realized what he did before the worst came to pass.

Looking determined, Molly put her hands on the table and looked around. "We have a lot to do and not much time! Alright, Bill, let's work this out," she told them then looked at her oldest. Quickly, she began to organize the bare basics of what was needed for a ceremony and a small reception, getting what her son and future wife wanted then began to discuss what was going to be needed.
