FAIRY TAIL: the next generation

The Fairy Tail school

Students rushed into the classroom and took their seats. An out of breath Nash and Luna ran to their seats. Mirajane Dreyar sat behind a desk at the front of the room. She smiled cheerfully as all the students sat down. The class consisted of all the children of the wizards of fairy tail. Aisu, Storm, and Rin Fullbuster, Nash and Luna Dragneel, Tenshi and Reiki Fernandez and many more children attend.

When all the students had taken their seats, Mirajane rung a small bell.

"Class has begun", she said. "Today's lesson is on the history of the Fairy Tail guild. I thought it would be fun to do battles that include your parents. I chose a few big ones: Fairy Tail vs. Phantom Lord, Lullaby, and Tenrou island."

She wrote on the board as she spoke.

"Who knows about these battles?" Mira said

Many students raised their hands.

"Luna", Mira said.

"My parents were in all of them. Fairy Tail vs. Phantom Lord was caused by my late grandfather when he was bad", Luna said.

"Good job", Mira said. "How about Asuka?"

"What about the battle of Fairy Tail?" Asuka asked. "My dad told me he fought hard to save my mother's life."

"The battle of fairy tail...", Mira said with her head down. "Was when my husband, Laxus, was naive and attacked the guild in order to become the master and remake it? I and many other girls were turned to stone by Evergreen. We were held hostage. Many boys fought hard to save us. Alzack especially fought for Biska."

"Daddy...did that?" said Aurora Dreyar.

"He did", Mira said. "He has definitely grown from then, of course."

"Why?" asked Laki Dreyar.

"He had a big head back then. I hated him for it. He didn't come home to help during the battle against Phantom Lord. If I had seen him, I would've punched him in the face", Mira said.

"You love him now though", Aurora said.

"Of course she does, A", said Nova.

"Let's move on", Mira said. "What do you guys know about Tenrou island and the 7 year gap?"

Liliana's hand shot into the air. She waved it around.

"Yes?" Mira said.

"Tenrou island is where the S class test is held. Back before we were all born you and other wizards went there, but someone attacked. There were intruders and everyone had to fight. The Tenrou tree collapsed. It was fixed when you won. Then a terrible dragon named Acnologia showed up and you all fell asleep for 7 years. You didn't know how long you slept for though", Liliana said.

"That is correct", Mira said. "We didn't age either."

Small snores came from the back of the classroom. Nash was sleeping! Luna turned around and poked her brother's nose.

"Nash", Luna said. "Wake up."

He didn't move. She shook his arm. Still sleeping. She created a ball of water in her hand.

"Sorry", she whispered.

She threw it at his face. He jumped up and screamed. The class laughed. Mira folded her arms and frowned. Water dripped from his hair and clothes.

"What happened?" Mira asked.

"My sister", Nash said.

"He wouldn't wake up", Luna said.

"You were sleeping?" Mira eyed him.

"Maybe", Nash said.

"Don't make me angry, Mr.Dragneel", Mira said.

"Yes", he said looking at the floor.

"In the hallway", she said pointing to the door.

Nash walked out the door. Luna held in a laugh.

"You too, Luna", Mira said.

"Why me?" she exclaimed.

"You covered your brother in water", she said.

Luna got up and stomped out the door. She joined her brother in the hallway.

"This is your fault, you know", she said.

"I'm not the human water gun", he said.

"Oh shut up!" she said.

She opened the window and jumped out onto the roof.

"Call me when Mira comes out", she said.

She sat on the edge and stared out over Magnolia.

Mira came out of the classroom and looked at Nash.

"Where's Luna?" she asked.

"Out there", he said pointing to the open window.

"Okay", she said. "I'll talk to you first."

Nash frowned.

"No sleeping in class. These are very interesting topics that can help you in the future", she said.

"I'm sorry", he said.

"Good", Mira said. "Go dry yourself off."

Nash walked away. Mira went to the window and called out to Luna. Luna came back inside and shut the window behind her.

"Luna, I have told you time after time: there are other ways to wake people up", Mira said.

"I shook his arm and poked his face. Nothing worked!" Luna protested.

"I'll have to bring this one up with Lucy. I've let it slide too many times", Mira said.

"Please don't! I won't do it again! Please Mira! I'm going somewhere with Storm and if I get in trouble, Mom won't let me go. Please!" Luna exclaimed.

"Okay, but don't do it again", Mira said.

"I won't", Luna said.

Luna and Mira reentered the classroom. Mira rang her bell and class was over. The kids rushed from the room. Storm and Luna ran out hand in hand. Luna opened the same window from before and climbed out. Storm followed her and shut the window behind her. They walked along the roof.

"Are you ready for our first job?" Storm asked.

"Totally and completely", Luna answered.

"I've been waiting forever for this", Storm said.

"Me too", she said.

"I can't wait", he said.

"Want to climb up to the bell?" Luna asked.

"Sure", he said. "I'll catch you if you fall."

Luna began to climb the building with Storm.

Meanwhile, Nash was on his way home. He was sprinting through the town. He finally reached the house that once belonged to his father and Happy. It's now their home. He ran inside and ran up to his room and fell asleep on his bed.
